Former President Donald Trump may be more damaged by the effects of Independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr.’s campaign than President Joe Biden, according to Democratic strategist James Carville.
“I actually think Bobby Kennedy might hurt Trump more than he hurts Biden,” Carville told MSNBC’s Ari Melber on Thursday’s edition of “The Beat with Ari Melber.”

That may have been true before Kennedy announced his choice of running mate.
Kennedy’s choice of California-based attorney Nicole Shanahan, who funded Soros-backed Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón and heavily supported Pete Buttigieg and President Biden, is unlikely to pull conservative votes away from Trump.
“Selecting an oligarch divorcee with no executive experience is one hundred percent about money,” stated political strategist and former Department of Health and Human Services official Michael Caputo. “This transparently defining pick will grow the Trump coalition. Thank you RFKjr!”

“I think there’s a certain percent of people in our country that are just like, ‘Just F the whole thing,’” Carville told Melber, “and Biden is not gonna get any of the ‘F it all’ vote, okay?”
“Now, what worries me is Cornel West and Jill Stein because they’re going to get some of the ‘F it all’ vote, too,” he added.
Both progressives tied to the Green Party, and Carville says West has “got some charm that Jill Stein never had, but he’s– you know, I don’t see him getting a whole lot of votes.”
“But I see the possibility that he’s going to take something out of our hide,” the strategist cautioned.
Of greatest concern to Carville are the No Labels party candidates.
As BizPac Review reported, earlier this month, the centrist group announced it will run a third-party “Unity Ticket” in the 2024 general election.
“The big question is No Labels,” Carville said. “I think No Labels, with certain candidates, would help Donald Trump pretty clearly.”
Speaking to Newsmax host Eric Bolling on Wednesday, Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), rumored to be on Trump’s VP shortlist, said Kennedy’s choice of Shanahan for a running mate will “bleed votes from the Democrats.”
“Having that third party candidate on the ballot, no matter the choice for vice president, is gonna bleed votes from the Democrats,” he stated,
“No matter what else you think of her,” Scott said, Shanahan is “a dyed-in-the-wool liberal.”
“She believes America is only better if we change who we are,” the senator said. “She believes that fighting for a redistribution of wealth is a key component of what makes America great.”

According to one user one X, Carville is an “old political hack.”
“All the polls,” noted another, “show the opposite” of his Kennedy prediction.

Except for the fact that all the polls show the opposite.

Asked one X user, “Has James Carville been right about anything political in the past 30 years?”
