John Rich offers fans an acoustic preview of his new tune on woke politics, ‘I’m Offended!’

Country music singer John Rich gave his fans an acoustic peek at a new tune addressing today’s polarized politics, where intolerance for opposing opinions reigns supreme.

“Brand new song called ‘I’m Offended!’ Whatcha think?” Rich tweeted on Thursday along with a video clip, adding the hashtag “#ImOffended.”

“Seems like these days, no matter what you say, someone’s losing their ever loving mind. It’s like they’re looking for a reason to have their fragile feelings hurt — every single time,” Rich sings in the opening refrain.

“I know you’re mad. You think I’m bad. Because I’m breathing free at last and you’re still stuck behind your mask — and I’m offended,” he added, after lyrics taking a shot at electric vehicles.

The chorus goes like this: “I’m offended. You’re offended. Let’s all get offended tonight. I’ll order us a beer, we can sit down here, scream and yell and cuss and fuss and fight.”

Back in November, Rich shared some of the song’s lyrics that touch on the First Amendment. The song also covers the Second Amendment.

The outspoken country music star took to Twitter a couple of weeks ago to announce the outcome of a lawsuit against a concert promoter who sued him during the Covid pandemic over his stance against vaccine requirements at his shows.

“During the lockdowns, I stated I’d NEVER play a concert venue that forced fans to show their ‘papers’ for entry concerning Covid,” Rich said. “One venue added that rule after I agreed to play, so I cancelled it. The promoter sued me. He LOST the case today! Happy to say I never bent the knee.”

As for his latest song, we could have seen the tune coming given this gem:
