Kelly Osbourne broke her silence Thursday on the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne — the “Prince of Darkness” died on Tuesday, at age 76.
Kelly posted an emotional response, sharing a poignant tribute that quoted lyrics from the 1972 Black Sabbath song “Changes,” which she and Ozzy had re-recorded as a duet in 2003.
“I feel unhappy I am so sad,” Kelly wrote in an Instagram story. “I lost the best friend I ever had.”

Kelly fiercely defended her father recently against false rumors about his health and a supposed “suicide pact” with her mother, Sharon.
On July 11, she angrily debunked an AI-generated video claiming the heavy metal icon was near death, stating, “He’s not dying.”
“So, there’s this video going around on social media, and it’s supposed to be my dad, but it’s AI,” Kelly wrote in an Instagram story. “And it has a voice like my dad’s [or] David Attenborough or something. And it starts out saying, ‘I don’t need a doctor to tell me that I’m going to die. I know I’m going to die.”
“What the f— is wrong with you people? Why would you spend your time making a video like this? He’s not dying, yes, he has Parkinson’s, and yes, his mobility is completely different than it used to be, but he’s not dying. What is wrong with you?”
Ozzy’s death came shortly after his final Black Sabbath performance on July 5 in Birmingham, England, which served as a milestone, not only for Ozzy but also for Kelly.
Her fiancé, Sid Wilson, proposed to her in her father’s presence, a moment she shared on Instagram — Ozzy offered a humorous interjection, “F*** off, you’re not marrying my daughter!”

Jack Osbourne’s ex-wife, Lisa Stelly, also paid tribute on Instagram, sharing a collection of photos and videos featuring the Black Sabbath singer.
“The world got Ozzy. We got Papa. One of one. Larger than life. It hurts to say goodbye, but what a gift it was to have him. We will never stop missing you,” she wrote.
