KJP burns Democrat ‘squad’ for ‘wrong, repugnant, and disgraceful’ remarks after Hamas brutality

Reactions from members of the so-called “Squad” to the terrorist assault by Hamas on Israel drew widespread criticism and now even the White House has weighed in.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre called out and condemned the “repugnant” comments being made by the likes of Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. and Cori Bush, D-Mo. in the wake of the attack on Israel.

“What is the President’s message to members of Congress who seem to be equating the Hamas terror attack with actions that were previously taken by Israel?” RealClearNews White House reporter Phil Wegmann asked Jean-Pierre during Tuesday’s press briefing.

Asked which members, in particular, he was referring to, the reporter responded: “Well, there have been some members of Congress who have called for a ceasefire, and they have not gone as far as backing the administration’s call for support for Israel.”

“So, look, I’ve seen some of those statements this weekend. And we’re going to continue to be very clear: We believe they are wrong, we believe they’re repugnant, and we believe they’re disgraceful,” Jean-Pierre said.

“Our condemnation belongs squarely with terrorists who have brutally murdered, raped, kidnapped hundreds, hundreds of Israelis. There can be no equivocation about that. There are not two sides here. There are not two sides,” President Joe Biden’s spokesperson added.

“President Biden has been clear on where he has stood. You heard him — you heard from him directly today. You heard from him also on Saturday on this. There’s been multiple statements from this president. And he’s taking action to provide additional support to ensure that Israel has the — has what they need to defend themselves,” Jean-Pierre said.

Democrat members of the far-left “Squad” have come under fire for their vocal comments on the war between Israel and Hamas, calling for a ceasefire and for the U.S. to end its assistance to Israel.

Omar called attention to the “innocent Palestinian civilians ” who have been killed by Israelis. She has also accused Israel of a war crime and demanded the U.S. cut off funding.

“Just as we honor the humanity of the hundreds of innocent Israeli civilians and 9 Americans who were killed this weekend, we must honor the humanity of the innocent Palestinian civilians who have been killed and whose lives are upended,” she wrote on X, accusing Israel of being an “apartheid” state.

“As part of achieving a just and lasting peace, we must do our part to stop this violence and trauma by ending U.S. government support for Israeli military occupation and apartheid,” Bush said in a statement.

“I grieve the Palestinian and Israeli lives lost yesterday, today, and every day,” Tlaib said in a statement. “As long as our country provides billions in unconditional funding to support the apartheid government, this heartbreaking cycle of violence will continue.”

But she avoided answering a reporter’s question about the atrocities being perpetrated by Hamas, refusing to answer at the U.S. Capitol.
