Libs shocked and awed by what Rep. Cawthorn was doing during online meeting

Rep. Madison Cawthorn, R-North Carolina, is coming under fire after he was seen cleaning a gun during an online Veterans Affairs meeting.

Apparently, this action was enough to send his political opponents over the edge. Comedian Christopher Titus tweeted: “I am now ‘wanting to punch a guy in a wheelchair’ years old.”

Transgender writer Charlotte Clymer accused Cawthorn of being “a grown man who has spent a lifetime under the impression that his efforts are inherently extraordinary.”

A first responder who was also present for the hearing reportedly took offense to Cawthorn’s activity, claiming he was acting like a child.

Even CNN called out the congressman for the activity, but critics would argue that they have very little room to criticize what goes on during Zoom meetings:

When contacted for comment regarding the dust-up, the representative’s spokesman Luke Ball said “What could possibly be more patriotic than guns and veterans?”

Still, it wasn’t enough to soothe the raging masses of liberals who took to Twitter to express their displeasure with Cawthorn:

But that’s not to say that Cawthorn didn’t have his fair share of support as well:
