‘Man up’: 911 Ground Zero worker urges McCarthy to show some ‘leadership,’ go after lying George Santos

The embarrassing case of Republican New York Rep. George Santos just got a little more cringeworthy with the news that, not only was Santos’ mom not killed in the devastating terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, she wasn’t even in the United States when the planes struck the Twin Towers.

For a man who actually did survive 9/11 — losing his foot in the process — enough is enough.

It’s time, said 9/11 worker John Feal, for House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to “man up” and “fix” the Santos problem.

As BizPac Review reported in late December, Santos was caught “embellishing” his resume by The New York Times which called into question, among other things, the elected congressman’s education, sexuality, and work experience.

Calls for his resignation came fast and furious, but Santos has refused to step down, claiming he is “not a criminal” and the scandal won’t “deter” him from “having good legislative success.”

“I will be effective,” he promised. “I will be good.”

Plenty of conservatives have disavowed Santos, including Blaze Media host Jason Whitlock, who pointed to Santos and said our nation is in a “total freefall.”

“There’s no reason to respect any of these typical politicians,” Whitlock told guest host Tulsi Gabbard on a recent “Tucker Carlson Tonight” broadcast. “The reason many of us were attracted to Donald Trump is because he wasn’t a typical politician. He was very flawed but you could actually believe what he said even though he was a flawed man. Most of these politicians are not.”

When society respects God, he added, “You just wouldn’t get on TV and tell the kind of lies he was telling and just brush it off as ‘Hey, the voters are too stupid. I don’t even owe them an explanation.'”

But the Santos lies and scandals just keep on coming.

Citing two “acquaintances” as sources, Reuters reported on Thursday that the newly sworn-in lawmaker “competed as a drag queen in Brazilian beauty pageants 15 years ago.”

And, of course, there is video to back up the claim.

But even prancing in a dress doesn’t top Santos’ claim that his mother died on 9/11.

As previously reported, journalist Yashar Ali did some digging into Santos’ 2021 tweets and discovered that the seemingly pathological liar had told a fellow Twitter user, “9/11 claimed my mothers life… so I’m blocking so I don’t ever have to read this again.”

Problem is, just five months later, Santos sent a grieving tweet that declared, “December 23rd this year marks 5 years I lost my best friend and mentor.”

“Mom,” he wrote, “you will live forever in my heart.”

“This guy has to be an op,” stated Ali. “My god.”

Speaking on CNN’s “AC360” on Thursday, Feal said he can’t believe Santos, with so many blatant lies, made it into Congress.

“You guys vetted me harder today to come on your show with a pre-interview to do the interview than George Santos was vetted,” Feal told Anderson Cooper. “Come on.”

“Every time you think that scab is going to heal, this man, his face, his words, his actions,” Feal said of Santos. “And this is a congressman. It’s ridiculous. There’s no other way to describe that, just being disgusting.

“Kevin McCarthy can easily fix this,” he said. “He can fix this. And if Kevin, if you’re watching and if you’re listening, be a man.”

“Man up,” he challenged the GOP leader. “Show the leadership that you were voted in for and do the right thing. This man is leaving a trail of pain behind him, and nobody’s doing anything about it.”
