Mary Katharine Ham went on monumental tear about her own network

CNN’s Mary Katharine Ham held nothing back in an epic Twitter feed that even called out her own network over biased coverage of the congressional baseball shooting in 2017.

The Conservative pundit’s tweets went viral after she called out New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman and responded to her own colleague over facts about news coverage of the incident in which a gunman opened fire at an Alexandria, Virginia, baseball field.

House GOP Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana and four others were injured when 66-year-old James Hodgkinson fired off 60 rounds, targeting Republicans and leaving Scalise facing life-threatening injuries and months in recovery after surgery.

Haberman whined about comments made by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis when asked about the anniversary of the January 6 Capitol attack, zeroing in on the Republican’s assertion that there was minimal media coverage of the baseball shooting in contrast.

“He’s arguing the shootings didn’t get much coverage? Pretty sure they were a huge story,” Haberman tweeted.

“I lived a block from the baseball field. Under 48 hours, the news vans were gone. I was on TV, live from the baseball field where they played the game a day later, after almost being canceled by mass murder, but my topic was ‘Mike Pence reportedly hired a lawyer,’” Ham fired back.

“You’re welcome to talk yourself into idea that a similar murder attempt on an entire team of Democrats would have gotten the same treatment. I think the shooting of Gabby Giffords is pretty analogous and disproves that theory. Even without that data point, it’s just not true,” Ham added.

Ham went on to note that when Scalise returned to Congress, greeted by a standing ovation from his fellow lawmakers, it was “sparsely covered” by the mainstream media and the anniversary of the shooting “was barely mentioned,” in stark contrast to the theatrics Democrats staged over Jan. 6.

“I checked at the time, and it is real. News vans were staked out at the home of the parents of Elizabeth Lauten, the GOP staffer who criticized Obama’s daughters on Facebook that time, for longer than they were at the practice baseball field. That’s not just a news cycle issue,” the journalist continued.

CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski evidently thought he could trip Ham up by posting a screenshot of her appearance on CNN discussing the baseball shooting at the time. But Ham was not about to cower and roasted the political reporter.

“Hi, Andrew. Yes, this is within 24-48 hrs that this was a story,” she countered. “This segment was based on the galactically stupid Sanford contention that it was *Trump’s rhetoric* that caused it, bc of course. Pointed out Nats Park hit bc it was overlooking the game & yet not focused on this.”

“Do you need the rest of my itinerary from that day and the day after, which again, were basically the only days this was a national story, which was my point?” Ham pressed Kaczynski.

She went on to call him out when the only response she got was crickets.

“One jacked off in front of female colleagues and one violated every conflict of interest rule in journalism, lied about it, and got fired, but I’m the issue bc I think the Congressional baseball shooting was covered too lightly and taxes are too high,” she pointed out.
