Megyn Kelly hammers Meghan Markle for staged hiking pics over coronation weekend: ‘Nobody does that’

Independent journalist and viral podcast host Megyn Kelly tore into the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle on Wednesday, slamming her for allegedly staging hiking photos with friends over coronation weekend while wearing a neck scarf, asserting, “Nobody does that.”

“She actually had a little neck scarf with a tie. I’m sorry ladies, but we’ve all walked our dogs, literally nobody does that,” Kelly proclaimed, according to Sky News Australia.

“Nobody wears a little necktie with a scarf and the glasses, and the hat and the perfectly wrapped little wrap for later just in case it gets chilly.”

The photos were taken of Markle on Sunday morning during a 40-minute hike outside her $15 million dollar home in Montecito, California without her husband, Prince Harry, or their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Markle did not go to King Charles III’s coronation in Britain because she said she had to stay home for Archie’s fourth birthday. Instead, it looks like she was thumbing her nose at the royals while going for a hike. She also claimed it was to “protect her peace.”

Archie’s birthday was on Saturday. A source told Page Six, “There was no way that Meghan was going to miss her son’s birthday.”

Markle was joined by her friends Markus Anderson and Heather Dorak on the trail according to the New York Post. Kim Kardashian’s former bodyguard was also with the group.

Kelly pointed toward Markle’s “million-dollar smile” claiming it was a clear indication the photos weren’t authentic.

“‘Oh you, oh hello… where did you come from? How on earth did you know I’d be here?’ It was obvious, like everything with this woman,” she sneered, making it clear that she was disgusted by Markle.

“How lucky was the photographer just walking around the hills of Los Angeles to be able to find Meghan, who just happened to be in Sunday best walking around going hiking, everyone else wearing t-shirt and shorts, she’s got of course designer this and apricot scarves and all the rest,” Sky News Australia host Paul Murray sarcastically told Kelly. “I mean what an accident.”

During her trek, Markle wore Princess Diana’s Cartier watch, which she reportedly wears almost every day but does seem inappropriate for a hike. She also donned a Bentley & Skinner diamond tennis bracelet, which King Charles is thought to have gifted his late ex-wife.

To many, everything she did that day screams that she was disrespecting the newly crowned king with a nod to the late Princess Diana, her husband’s mother. Markle rarely goes out in public and it seemed conspicuous that she chose that particular weekend to do so.

On Wednesday’s episode of Australia’s Sky News, commentator Katie Woolf expressed her distaste for Markle’s behavior. She didn’t hold back either.

“You don’t go to the coronation and then on a hike — I find it quite rude,” she commented. “If that was my sister-in-law, I would be quite dirty about the situation. It demonstrates that she doesn’t have a huge amount of respect for her in-laws.”

Prince Harry did attend the coronation but cut it short using his son’s birthday as an excuse as well. It is widely said that he offended the royals by doing so considering the historic event of his father being crowned king.

The prince did not publicly interact with his father or estranged brother Prince William while at the coronation ceremonies. But an unnamed former royal staffer claimed he would’ve “personally regretted” not showing up for his dad, according to the New York Post.
