Days of concerning rants from Kanye West found the rapper deciding his own fate after Elon Musk addressed the situation.
Only a week has gone by since the billionaire entrepreneur made waves at the 2025 Grammy Awards, walking the red carpet with his wife, Bianca Censori, adorned in a see-through dress. During that time, the artist who has purported to have been diagnosed with autism began a series of posts on X declaring himself a Nazi, sharing porn, and more before showing himself the door.
In a post declaring he was deactivating his own account on Sunday, West asserted, “I’m logging out of Twitter… I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent.”
“It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board… It was like an Ayahuasca trip,” he continued. “Love all of you who gave me the energy and attention… To we connect again [sic]…Good afternoon and goodnight.”

The Yeezy clothing company founder glossed over the finer points of the ranting that had transpired over three days that had resulted in many wishing to see West banned from the platform for comments deemed antisemitic, misogynistic, and racist.
Included was how Musk had reacted to the outcry, detailing to the public that, “Given what he has posted, his account is now classified as [Not Safe For Work]. You should not be seeing that anymore.”

In so doing, a disclaimer was added to the account prior to its deactivation that read, “Caution: This profile may include potentially sensitive content. You’re seeing this warning because they post potentially sensitive images or language. Do you still want to view it?”
West seemingly addressed that action in one of his later posts which touched on slights against his longtime personal antagonist, Taylor Swift, who he infamously upstaged at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
“IF ITS ABOUT THE CULTURE…WHY ARE WE LETTING TAYLOR SWIFT BE SEEN ON TV SINGING A SONG ABOUT TAKING A BLACK MAN DOWN AND ACCUSING OF THINGS THAT CAN TAKE A BLACK MAN DOWN FOR LIFE,” he posted before referencing the Super Bowl halftime performance by Kendrick Lamar. “KENDRICK IS BEING USED BY THESE WHITE PEOPLE AND JEWS AND SO AM I…AS I TWEET IN CODE WORDS AND KISS ELONS A** AND BEG HIM TO NOT CANCEL MY ACCOUNT.”
David Schwimmer of “Friends” fame was among those calling for West to be banned from X using his Instagram account to express, “We can’t stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk.”
“Kanye West has 32.7 million followers on your platform, X. That’s twice as many people than the number of Jews in existence. His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews,” continued the actor and director. “I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that he identifies as a Nazi (which implies he wants to exterminate ALL marginalized communities including his own) or the fact that there is not sufficient OUTRAGE to remove and ban him from all social media at this point. Silence is complicity.”

Meanwhile, Tarantula, the talent management company owned by Milo Yiannopoulos representing both West and Censori confirmed on X, “Ye has deactivated his X account for the time being. Journalists with requests for comment about this or any other matter pertaining to Ye may direct them to our firm…”

During the ranting, West had also released a Super Bowl ad for Yeezy deemed a “cringe-worthy spectacle” as he revealed with his “titanium dentures” prominently featured, “I spent all the money for the commercial on these new teeth. So, once again, I had to shoot it on the iPhone. Um. Umm. Umm. Go to Yeezy.com.”
Reactions noted that the only item available was a t-shirt emblazoned with a swastika.

Was that deeply unsettling “Yeezy” commercial national, or one of those weird deals where they buy local ad time in a few random markets?

Shame on Fox and the NFL for approving that Yeezy ad after the events of this week. They should’ve rejected it and returned the money. Could’ve easily found a replacement. pic.twitter.com/doJwBPME0k

The latest ravings from West followed prior bans on the social media platforms Instagram and Twitter amid positive remarks about Adolf Hitler and a post that merged a swastika with a Star of David.
During a recent interview with Justin Laboy, the rapper claimed he didn’t have bipolar disorder, “It’s really a case of autism that I have. Autism takes you to a ‘Rain Man’ thing, where you’re like, ‘I’m gonna wear this Trump hat because I like Trump in general,’ and when people tell you not to do it, you just get on that one point.”
“And that’s my problem when fans tell me to do my album a certain way, I’ll do it the opposite way because ‘laaa laaa la la, I got my money right,” he added.
