Musk responds to Trump’s call for ‘termination of all rules … even those found in the Constitution’

Former President Donald Trump’s reaction to “The Twitter Files” took a turn Saturday when the Constitution itself was called into question, and while corporate media and Democrats jumped at the opportunity to malign Trump yet again, Chief Twit Elon Musk offered his own balanced perspective.

With the help of journalist Matt Taibbi, Musk began to reveal evidence Friday that government officials had been directly communicating with the social media company in an effort to suppress stories. As previously reported, much of the initial release was related to the Hunter Biden laptop story and how it was squashed ahead of the 2020 presidential election, a point many believe impacted the outcome.

As part of his response, Trump charged that the magnitude of the uncovered fraud called for an unprecedented response that may even demand “termination of all rules…even those found in the Constitution,” but Musk was having none of that when he reacted to Fox News’ coverage on the matter.

“The Constitution is greater than any President,” the billionaire tweeted. “End of Story.”

In full, Trump’s post to Truth Social read, “So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”

The implications of his position led to widespread condemnation from the usual suspects and even the White House weighed in with a statement offered by deputy press secretary Andrew Bates that read, “The American Constitution is a sacrosanct document that for over 200 years has guaranteed that freedom and the rule of law prevail in our great country. The Constitution brings the American people together–regardless of party–and elected leaders swear to uphold it.”

“It’s the ultimate monument to all of the Americans who have given their lives to defeat self-serving despots that abused their power and trampled on fundamental rights,” it continued. Attacking the Constitution and all it stands for is anathema to the soul of our nation, and should be universally condemned. You cannot only love America when you win.”

Supporters of the president defended the remarks as being misinterpreted with references to the numerous times his words had been used out of context.

However, as stalwart as the defense was, Trump himself offered a follow-up statement that supported the widely accepted interpretation of his position. Later on Saturday, he wrote, “UNPRECEDENTED FRAUD REQUIRES UNPRECEDENTED CURE!”
