A Democratic state House candidate in North Carolina has been fired from his job as a college professor after he was caught on video trashing the late Charlie Kirk.
Coastal Carolina Community College fired Chris Schulte last week after a video showed him calling Kirk a “racist piece of s—” and denigrating Turning Point USA. The Democratic candidate for North Carolina’s State House did not apologize after the college, where he has taught since 2008, ended his employment.

“Did he deserve to die? No. But he was a racist piece of s—. And Turning Point USA is a racist piece of s— organization,” Schulte was recorded as saying in the audio clip that circulated on social media and was shared by Kirk’s organization on X.
The community college, where Schulte reportedly earned $79,128 a year, said in a termination letter obtained by WITN News that the professor’s actions “constituted unacceptable behavior, demonstrated that you have participated in prohibited conduct, and interfered with the operations of the college.”

Schulte claimed he was speaking out for “academic freedom” when he was “secretly recorded by a student” and had to be escorted off campus when terminated.
“Today, campus security had to escort me to my car because threats were made against me at my workplace after I spoke out for academic freedom and called out racism and censorship where I saw it,” he said in a statement.
“I spoke passionately on that topic because I care deeply about this country and I’m concerned about protecting constitutional freedoms, especially the First Amendment, that defines it. Today’s events only reinforced why those protections matter. In an attempt to bring awareness to the censorship of faculty happening at UNC – Chapel Hill with secret recordings, I was secretly recorded by a student. It is a sad statement about our country right now that my comments would elicit threats not just on my career, but also my life,” Schulte added.
Social media users applauded the college’s actions.
Good! Totally inappropriate for the classroom. Get him some help for his TDS please!

Well, that’s a good start. Now we only have 10,000 other colleges to clean out.
