New poll finds Biden losing against all 4 top GOP hopefuls, but the candidate on top smells fishy

A new poll has found President Joe Biden losing in the 2024 race to the top three GOP presidential candidates, particularly Nikki Haley.

Conducted by Marquette Law School, the poll shows former President Donald Trump beating Biden 52 percent to 48 percent, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis beating him 51 percent to 49 percent, and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley beating him 55 percent to 45 percent.

Regarding Trump, his four percentage point lead over Biden is a huge jump from what was recorded in July, when he was found to be tying the president 50 percent to 50 percent, according to Fox News.

Moreover, while the poll results show Haley outperforming Trump overall, they also show that he is reportedly the only one leading among independent voters. Conversely, Haley reportedly draws the highest support among Democrat voters.

That said, because the poll results are especially favorable to Haley, critics have assailed the poll as questionable, particularly given her recent faux pas:

In fairness to Marquette, the poll was conducted between Nov. 2nd and Nov. 7th, roughly a week before Haley’s gigantic faux pas.

As previously reported, this Tuesday the presidential hopeful proclaimed that if she were to win the presidency next year, one of her first priorities would be to use government power to eliminate anonymity on social media. Why? Because she evidently believes free speech is a threat to national security.

“Antisemitism was always bubbling underneath the surface, but now we’re seeing this massive exaggeration of it, but no one is talking about why. The truth is, if you look at social media, the misinformation and the dramatic sides of social media are instigating this. Why? Because it’s being pushed by Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea,” she said.

“When I get into office, the first thing we have to do, social media accounts, social media companies, they have to show America their algorithms. Let us see why they’re pushing what they’re pushing. The second thing is every person on social media should be verified by their name,” she added.

“That’s, first of all, it’s a national security threat. When you do that, all of a sudden, people have to stand by what they say. And it gets rid of the Russian bots, the Iranian bots and the Chinese bots. And then you’re going to get some civility when people know their name is next to what they say, and they know their pastor and their family members are going to see it,” she continued.

She eventually backtracked.

Appearing on CNBC this Wednesday, she argued that “life would be more civil” if online users weren’t allowed to post anonymously but stressed that anonymous accounts would still be allowed under her administration.

“I don’t mind anonymous American people having free speech. What I don’t like is anonymous Russians and Chinese and Iranians having free speech,” she said.

But by then the damage had already been done, and critics therefore responded with mockery and derision.
