Newsom mocks Trump’s weight after Hegseth’s ‘fat generals’ remark

California Governor Gavin Newsom is continuing his campaign of childish tactics with a jab at President Donald Trump’s weight.

Department of War Secretary Pete Hegseth addressed top military leaders, encouraging a higher level of physical fitness among those in charge. He even went as far as to say that it’s “tiring” to see “fat troops” when looking at combat formations.

“Likewise, it’s unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon,” he continued, holding military brass accountable.

This didn’t sit well with Newsom, who took it as an opportunity to thumb his nose at the president.

“I guess the Commander in Chief needs to go!” he wrote, captioning a photo of Trump taking off his suit jacket before going to work a shift at McDonald’s.

The governor’s press office account opted to go with an AI image of Trump eating McDonald’s under an all-caps quote from Hegseth.

While these antics were a hit among the leftist crowd, it was clear that not everyone was pleased by the posts. While some opted to address his posts directly, others took a more direct route with their commentary:
