With the first real report card of the 2024 Republican primary election coming down Monday in Iowa, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) is calling for all octogenarians or near-octogenarians to “get out” of the race.
The intended targets, of course, are 81-year-old geriatric President Joe Biden and soon-to-be 78-year-old Donald Trump.
“Thank the good Lord, we need all the 80-year-olds to get out of there,” Haley said Saturday during an appearance on Fox News’ One Nation with Brian Kilmeade. “I will tell you that includes Trump and Biden. We got to get past all of these senior citizens that are sitting there staying for decades and years and all of that.”
“We have to have a new generational leader,” she added. “You can’t keep doing that. Ask anybody — we don’t need an 80-year-old president. We don’t need an 80-year-old climate czar.”
The latter remark is a reference to Special Presidential Envoy for Climate (SPEC) John Kerry, who is stepping down. Biden’s 88-year-old climate czar just announced that he will be focusing on the “single biggest” thing to advance the green agenda, which is assuring the reelection of the current puppet in chief, Joe Biden.
“I don’t want to see a climate czar ever again. That is how ridiculous government has gotten,” Haley said.
The focus on age has been a common theme for Haley while campaigning in Iowa:
“You deserve better. You deserve an America without chaos… You deserve an America better than when you have a couple of 80 year olds running for President… You can make it better. And we will make it better.”
