‘No Kings’ mask slips as foot soldiers toss rulebook to favor Dems

An investigation into a leftist coalition’s own plans for nationwide get-out-the-vote rallies found organizers likely in violation of their own rules.

With track records of supporting both Democratic Party politicians and their platforms of open borders, abortion on demand, and Marxist redistribution of wealth, it should come as no surprise that organizations like the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and the Democratic Socialists of America would get behind messaging to vote Republicans out of office.

That said, as those and more radical organizations have partnered with “No Kings” for rallies scheduled across the country on Saturday, local “No Kings” events have shown themselves to be bucking guidance on remaining nonpartisan, raising questions on tax-exempt status.

A report from Fox News Digital senior editor of investigation Asra Nomani detailed that prohibitions listed by the organization state, “No Kings: Vote Early events are meant to be focused on early voter participation and must be nonpartisan! These types of events are prohibited and will not be approved …”

Listed examples included speakers such as elected officials calling to “vote them out” or promoting “vote Blue,” as well as encouraging voting based on partisan issues like abortion. Additionally, political parties are prohibited from attending or coordinating events, and speakers are barred from “expressing bias for or against any candidate for office.”

The report “identified a sprawling network of 300 progressive advocacy organizations, labor unions, Democratic political operatives and tax-exempt nonprofits with an estimated $2.5 billion in annual revenues, transforming the ‘No Kings’ protest movement into a nationwide voter-mobilization operation of an estimated 3,000 events for Democrats.”

Despite the prohibitions, “No Kings” promotions encourage attendees to wear blue “to signify the blue tsunami we are hoping to see” while suggesting signs with messages like, “No Kings, Vote Blue,” “Time for a Blue Tsunami,” Vote Early, Vote Blue,” and “Vote Blue Nov 3.”

Along with the messaging from Newark, Delaware, organizers in Roseburg, Oregon suggested “VOTE EARLY. VOTE THEM OUT!” and “REPUBLICANS HAD THEIR CHANCE!”

As other local events promoted similar messaging, an Indivisible Colorado Springs webinar featured co-founders lamenting the challenges of garnering attention without putting the focus on President Donald Trump.

Ezra Levin said, “By all means, make it about Trump. Y’all make it about Trump. Create some conflict. Use some strong language. There’s nothing about No Kings that says you can’t focus on the fascists in the White House.”

Down from an estimated $3 billion in combined annual revenue of 500 organizations, the current list of coalition partners includes American Federation of Teachers, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the Democratic Socialists of America, End Citizens United, MoveOn, the National Education Association, Planned Parenthood Action Fund and the Service Employees International Union.

Nomani went on to make clear that partisan advocacy impacts tax-exemption status before quoting self-described Texas Democrat Levin lauding the left while criticizing Republicans: “Our candidates are quite good all around the country. Their candidates are quite trash all over the country.”
