An independent Democrat-packed Senate candidate in Nebraska found himself in hot water when audio of him referring to his female GOP opponent in unflattering terms was leaked to the media.
Dan Osborn, who’s running to unseat incumbent Republican Sen. Pete Ricketts, was caught describing the Cornhusker State’s other elected Senate representative, Sen. Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), as “that b*tch.”
The audio of Osborn’s remarks was made public by Politico’s White House reporter Daniel Lippman, with the candidate disparaging the GOP senator whom he was defeated by two years ago.
SCOOP: Nebraska Senate candidate Dan Osborn, who’s backed by Dems, privately disparaged GOP Sen. Deb Fischer, who he ran against in 2024, saying “I fucking lost to that bitch” in a vulgar remark that offended at least one campaign volunteer, per an audio recording I obtained. https://t.co/MW910S2OYd

According to Friday’s Politico playbook, the vulgar comment was uncorked during a campaign event this summer in Omaha when playing one of his ads against Fischer.
“And I f**king lost to that b*tch,” Osborn shouted.
The audio was passed on to Politico through a separate person than the campaign volunteer said to have recorded it.
“They were both granted anonymity because of their concerns of retaliation. The volunteer, who no longer helps the campaign, told POLITICO they were stunned after Osborn criticized Fischer in such crude terms,” the outlet reported.
Osborn is hoping for better luck this time around after losing to “that b*tch” 53-47.
Ricketts pounced on the pre-election gift from his opponent.
I condemn Dan Osborn’s vulgar and disrespectful remarks about Senator Fischer. This kind of language has no place in Nebraska politics.
Dan Osborn has been caught on tape mocking rural Nebraskans, using racist language, calling his own staff worthless, and now using degrading language toward a sitting United States Senator.
Nebraska deserves a senator who treats every Nebraskan with respect and dignity. Dan Osborn is not that person.

“I condemn Dan Osborn’s vulgar and disrespectful remarks about Senator Fischer. This kind of language has no place in Nebraska politics,” the senator wrote in a Friday post to X.
“Dan Osborn has been caught on tape mocking rural Nebraskans, using racist language, calling his own staff worthless, and now using degrading language toward a sitting United States Senator,” Ricketts added. “Nebraska deserves a senator who treats every Nebraskan with respect and dignity. Dan Osborn is not that person.”
Osborn broke out the firehose to douse what could be a public relations problem in the closer-than-expected red state race.
“I’m a sailor, and sometimes I swear like one and make stupid jokes. I was wrong to speak that way about Senator Fischer,” he said in a statement to Politico.
While Osborne is trying to appeal to voters as an outside independent, he has the backing of the Democrats and has been getting face time on leftist propaganda organ MS NOW, formerly MSNBC.
Nebraska Democrat Dan Osborn can’t name a single position that separates him from Democrats.
MS NOW: The state Democrat party endorsed you. Where is that separation?
OSBORN: “Yeah. I mean…I get sick of the finger pointing” https://t.co/etgmX9bxyc

In a statement responding to Osborn’s insult, Fischer said, “Of course he lost and he will lose again. Pete will win this.”
