Obama bludgeoned for connecting George Floyd’s death to Uvalde school shooting massacre

We know Dems never like to let a crisis go to waste, but when former President Barack Obama used the massacre at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, to bring up the second anniversary of George Floyd’s death at the hands of Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin, he clearly crossed a line.

“As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer,” tweeted Obama on Wednesday. “His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him.”

The backlash was quick and furious.

“What in God’s name is wrong with you,” asked Matt Walsh.

“This is truly sick,” said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis spokesperson Christina Pushaw. “19 innocent children and 2 hero teachers were killed… and to the Divider-in-Chief, the real victim of Uvalde is George Floyd?”

Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon reworded Obama’s quote just slightly: “‘It sucks those kids died, but remember George Floyd? He’s who I’m still thinking about.'”

“The ratio on this tweet will be a testament to how disgusting, callous, and politically opportunistic it was,” wrote Viva Frei, adding, “You really are an awful person, Barack.”

In his thread, Obama likened the horror of 19 dead children to the “anguish” activists felt following Floyd’s death.

“In the aftermath of [George Floyd’s] murder, a new generation of activists rose up to channel their anguish into organized action, launching a movement to raise awareness of systemic racism and the need for criminal justice and police reform,” the former President tweeted.

He then shamelessly plugged his own foundation.

“Inspired by these young leaders, @MBK_Alliance launched a Reimagining Policing Pledge for mayors and cities ready to take action,” he continued. “If you’re wondering how you can help make things a little better today, here are some ways to get involved.”

Needless to say, his self-serving, misguided memorial to Floyd missed its mark.

“Imagine belittling the lives of actual innocent school children being gunned own with a felonious, wife beating, drug addicted criminal that died from a fentanyl overdosed,” replied one user. “Way to keep racism and division in the forefront Hussein.”

“Blasphemer, nothing is sacred to you,” tweeted another. “Bootstrapping the murder of these 19 kids to your Marxist BLM agenda that no one gives a F*ck about is pathetic. Go back to Martha’s Vineyard and join your Friends in their veneration and worship of Klaus Schwab’s official NWO portrait.”

And a third was shocked to see someone so smart tweet something so stupid.

“For someone whi supposedly pretty intelligent,” the user noted, “this one may be the dumbest and most classless thing you have ever posted.”
