Obese influencer, who pushed free airline seats, wants hotels to enlarge hallways in name of ‘inclusive hospitality’

Remember that morbidly obese social media influencer who demanded that airlines provide overweight people with extra seats free of charge?

Well, she’s back. And now she wants hotels to widen their hallways.

In her recent TikTok video, Vancouver-based Jaelynn Chaney, a self-described “Plus Size Travel & Fashion & Lifestyle” guru, rattled off a list of changes the world’s hotel industry needs to implement in the name of “inclusive hospitality.”

The costly adjustments include making “elevators and hallways spacious, to offer easy movement of larger individuals and those utilizing mobility devices,” ensuring “beds with strong support and a higher weight capacity,” and redesigning the hotel restaurants so they are “roomy” and have “sturdy chairs, so everyone can dine comfortably.”

“Size-inclusive hotel amenities are more than just accommodations – they’re a statement of respect for diverse needs and body types,” Chaney captioned her video. “From spacious chairs to thoughtful bathroom facilities, every detail matters. Elevators, pool areas, and dining spaces should be designed to ensure ease of movement and relaxation. Let’s make travel truly accessible and welcoming for travelers of all sizes and abilities.”

Toilet seats need to be raised, plus-sized towels need to be provided, and hotel bathrobes must come in size 6X, according to Chaney, who, once again, seems oblivious to how much it would cost to implement her demands on a global scale.

Oblivious, or she simply doesn’t care.

As BizPac Review reported, in June, Chaney made headlines for her quest to force airlines to change their “discriminatory” policies requiring plus-size travelers to buy two seats, claiming they have to pay “twice for the same experience.”

“To ensure a safe and comfortable flying experience for all passengers, airlines should provide accessible additional seats to customers-of-size who require more physical space on planes or encroach onto another passenger’s space,” her Change.org petition read. “These passengers should be provided with an extra free seat, or even multiple seats, to accommodate their needs and ensure their comfort and safety, as well as those around them, during the flight.”

“Implementing policies to accommodate plus-size passengers may come with associated costs,” Chaney told Fox News at the time, “but these costs must be weighed against the benefits of creating a more welcoming and inclusive travel experience.”

On TikTok, her lack of concern with passing the extra costs for her weight problem on to others was once again noted.

“I agree with some but others are just not possible,” said one TikTok user. “The amount of money it will take to make all of these changes is unreal.”

“I agree this is ideal,” said another, “but some of these are out of the hotel control. Lift size for example.”

“The way to make travel accessible & comfortable to all is to price the ticket per kg & if an individual needs 2 or 3 seats that individual pays for it,” stated a third.

But Chaney remains undaunted.

“I am on a mission to revolutionize the travel industry and make it a more accessible, accepting, accommodating place for all,” she stated in her video. “The needs of plus-sized travelers matter just as much as everybody else.”
