A Hollywood filmmaker’s challenge on election integrity pitted former President Donald Trump against corporate media bias: “…do you know for a fact that he lost?”
Oliver Stone, the Oscar-winning director of “Platoon” and “JFK,” joined comedian Bill Maher for the “Club Random” podcast where challenges to the narrative reigned. Pivoting off “authoritarian government” where it pertained to COVID (blocking Ivermectin while pushing experimental shots), Maher made way for the filmmaker to question the veracity of the 2020 presidential election.
Dusting off “orangeman bad” sentiments, the host agreed that President Joe Biden was complicit in overreach before contending, “I would say the form that Trump is threatening us with is even worse.”
“Which is what?” Stone pushed back prompting Maher to argue, “Well, I mean, he doesn’t concede elections. You know, the elections only count if we win theory of government. Well, come on. You know, Trump has he still has not conceded the election. He has not conceded. He does not honor them.”
“I mean, do you know for a fact that he lost? I’m just curious,” said the director.

As usual, Maher brings up the sheep talking points, “But all the lawsuits were dismissed and laughed out of court.”

“I just don’t know all of the facts,” he further remarked as the host appeared to grow exasperated at the subject.
“Well I do. Is there a conspiracy theory that you don’t believe?” fired off Maher who earned the response, “Come on, Bill. You know I’m intelligent.”
Dusting off readily countered talking points, Maher asserted, “I’ll give you the thumbnail sketch. They tried it in like 60 courts. It was laughed out of every court, including by Republican judges. The people who saved this democracy were Republicans. Good Republicans, in states where Trump pressured them like the guy, the one he’s on trial for in Georgia — find me 11,000 votes — it’s on tape.”
The host further likened former Attorney General Bill Barr, Republican Senate Leader Mitch McConnell (KY) and former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney to “dyed in the wool, serious conservative Republicans” as he alluded to testimonials opposing Trump’s view of the 2020 election.
Stone went on to raise concerns over the 2000 presidential election and Maher conceded shenanigans in the 1960 presidential election before the guest shoveled some blame on the media.
Speaking to the then-incumbent’s support, he said of Trump, “You know, that was what was shocking, that he did so well compared to what he was expected to do, because we believed all the East Coast media.”
“They went too far in hating and in dumping on Trump. And people don’t like that in America,” the filmmaker remarked before adding that fueled more people to the GOP leader’s side.
Previously, Stone admitted that he “made a mistake,” when voted for Biden. “I was thinking he was an old man now that he would calm down, that he would be more mellow and so forth. I didn’t see that at all. I see a man who maybe is not in charge of his own administration. Who knows?”
As social media users flocked in support of Stone’s inquisitive premise, Maher was slammed for his pushback as others offered takes like, “does Bill actually interview people or just get triggered and talk the whole time?’

What’s frustrating is that Bill can’t make the connections on the courts and the lawsuits. That the courts never looked at any evidence but simply dismissed the lawsuits outright.

Oliver Stone is an extremely smart man and he knows the truth. And Bill Maher is smart too but he’s a F
SHEEP and he will say and do anything to ignore the facts. Don’t count on Bill to ever tell you that he was wrong!— Forever Trump! (@jacqueline_m19) November 25, 2023
