The congressional Democrats who told members of the military to disobey President Donald Trump’s orders are now panicking hard.
After the Democrats published a video to social media this week encouraging members of the military to “refuse illegal orders” from Trump, the president blasted them as seditious traitors.
“It’s called SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL,” he wrote on Truth Social. “Each one of these traitors to our Country should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL. Their words cannot be allowed to stand — We won’t have a Country anymore!!!”

In additional posts, the president rightly noted that sedition is punishable by death. This fact seemed to jolt Democrats out of their stupor and back to reality.
Case in point: On Thursday, Democrat Rep. Jason Crow began walking back what he’d said in the video posted to social media.
“To be clear, we are not calling on folks right now to debate, to disobey any type of unlawful order, right?” he claimed while on CNN.
So what were he and his colleagues doing? Allegedly just “having a conversation.”
“There is very real and deep concern about what this president has threatened to do over and over again,” Crow said. “There are three more years left of this administration.”
“If we are not talking about this and having a conversation about it and demystifying this conversation, we are not fulfilling our duty. We are reminding people that have taken the oath what that oath requires of them to do,” he added.
Rep. Jason Crow is already walking back his video after the uproar it rightfully caused, says he wasn’t telling US military personnel to disobey anything “right now.”
What a crock. Such an unforced error by these Dems. pic.twitter.com/1jgexSA9ZE

Later Thursday evening, a still-panicked Crow published a video to the social media platform X, freaking out over Trump’s sedition charge.
“This morning, President Donald Trump threatened to have me arrested and executed simply for reminding our service members of their oaths to follow the Constitution and to defend the rule of law,” he falsely asserted in the video.
“I’ve taken many oaths throughout my life as a combat veteran, a paratrooper, an Army Ranger, and now as a member of Congress. That is a lifetime oath for me. I will never stop defending it and upholding that sacred obligation,” he added.
Crow then accused President Trump of being the lawless one.
“It’s very telling that President Trump and those around him think it’s criminal simply for asking people to follow the law,” he said. “This moment requires moral clarity.”
“Every American, regardless of your background, should unite and reject his calls for political violence. This is a moment that requires leadership. I intend to uphold my obligation, my oath, and to lead. Don’t give up the ship,” he added.
Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) blatantly lies and says President Trump called for him to be arrested and ex*cuted.
Trump called for people guilty of sedition to face legal consequences.
So unless Crow is admitting to committing sedition, why is he now panicking?pic.twitter.com/Ui7T2cwVZL

Crow’s video prompted stern pushback from the right.
“You should be in prison already, you are a TRAITOR and put it out on video for the world to see,” one critic tweeted.
“Trump is calling for due process,” another noted. “If you’ve done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about. Why are you so nervous?”

You posted seditious content and told our military to disobey our commander in chief.
How are you the victim?

No he did not. He may have called for your arrest, and sedition does carry the death penalty possibility if convicted, but he did not call for your death. Before you speak on this subject again, please prepare to identify what orders you think have been given that were illegal.

We all saw the video-it was a wink and a nod suggesting the military ignore their commander in chief. You may have thought you gave yourselves enough plausible deniability-but everybody knows what you meant and why you made that video.

He called for your arrest for using a position of power to encourage military members to break ranks and not follow lawful orders.
That, by definition, is sedition.
He didn’t call for your execution.
He called for you to face the penalties for what you’re actively doing.
