Climate cultism found the U.S. faulted for Parisian deaths as an official from the City of Lights joined a narrative against a modern convenience deemed an “environmental aberration.”
Since the FIFA World Cup kicked off in North America, visitors from Europe have reveled in experiencing the United States, posting viral reactions to the cities, countryside, and especially conveniences like air conditioning.
As a heatwave swept France leading to dozens of deaths, Paris Deputy Mayor Audrey Pulvar did not take kindly to mockery for lack of climate-controlled rooms, and instead blamed the weather on the U.S. over emissions. “Your cities ‘90% air-conditioned’ are not unrelated to this.”
Taking to Instagram on Friday, the journalist by trade pointed fingers across the ocean and began, “Dear American journalists and social media ‘influencers’: for days, some of you have been criticizing and making fun of Paris, because the city does not have AC in every room of every apartment and places. OMG, this is so rich!”

“As the second-largest emitter of greenhouse gas emissions in the world, you bear a significant amount of responsibility for global warming and the consequences we, in France, are experiencing. Your cities’ 90% air-conditioned’ are not unrelated to this. In Paris, we take responsibility,” she went on, touting green policies while claiming the agenda could be credited with reducing some of the annual 500,000 premature deaths in Europe attributed to air pollution.
Reliable air conditioning has been a luxury for those visiting the United States, especially as the recent heat wave in France saw temperatures reaching over 104 degrees Fahrenheit. As was covered, at least 40 people drowned as their desperation for a reprieve found them jumping in the rivers and canals. At the same time, Public Health France admitted the death toll from the heat included about 1,000 more fatalities than they’d expected.

The same nanny state restricting air conditioning, deeming the life-saving measure an “environmental aberration,” saw fit to restrict alcohol consumption in public spaces, curb large gatherings, and reduce hours of operation for tourist destinations like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.
“If every American city made the same ecological transition efforts as Paris and many European cities, believe me, the whole world would be better off. So please, enough with the lecture. Just start doing your part. Best regards,” concluded Pulvar.
Among those firing back at the socialist deputy mayor, British author Gavin Mortimer, a former resident of Paris, wrote for The Spectator, “The problem in France is ideology. The political, cultural and media elite is dominated by the left and a central tenet of their dogma is the belief that air-conditioning is bad for the environment.”
He went on to point at how Marine Le Pen has leveraged the argument into a campaign promise for a “massive air conditioning plan” if victorious in next year’s elections, “She rubbished the left’s assertion that air-conditioning is bad for the planet, accusing them of drawing on dodgy data. ‘Modern air conditioners remove hot air and do not release gases or heat into the atmosphere,’ she said.”
Meanwhile, Pulvar’s claims only renewed criticism of the French as visions of white flags waving in the effort to keep cool came to mind with one social media user asking, “Have you tried surrendering to the heat wave?”
What moronic anti science. What caused the heat wave 50 years ago? Europe is a pathetic wasteland of common sense. Destroying the lives of its people with no AC, high energy prices & inefficient/ineffective energy sources. Not to mention immigration of those who seek to destroy it

Reminder that Americans not only enjoy central air conditioning, they also have window units to make it extra cold during those pesky heatwaves. I’m freezing right now.

We foolishly lead the world in reducing our carbon footprint and emission while country’s like Russia, China, and India have not.
Even if this nonsense wasn’t a scam to weaken America, we’re not to blame. It’s Marxist idiots like this.
