Paul Anka rips migrant influx for fueling crime spike in Canada

Canadian American actor Paul Anka revealed an inconvenient truth about crime rates to leftist comedian Bill Maher.

Anka was visiting Maher’s “Club Random” podcast, where the conversation ranged from record-breaking music artists to politics. Eventually, the topic of how Canada has changed came up, and the guest didn’t hold back.

“You had me in Canada because I love the Canadians,” Maher said.

“Oh, I love Canada. Those are my people,” Anka replied.

“I have a lot of history in Canada,” the comedian pointed out. “And it’s different.”

“No question,” Anka agreed.

“I mean, I remember not that long, maybe 10 years ago, I was there a lot, I was seeing somebody there and, was in a bar in Toronto with a bunch of her friends and there’s a lot of drinks and I think I tipped the bartender like twice, and the third time I went to do it, he pushed it back and I said he said ‘No you you give me enough.’ I was like you know, in America, you could be arrested for that,” the pair laughed. ” Maher continued as the pair laughed. “Trump would take a very dim view of someone turning down money. And that’s Canada. That’s, I mean, I always think of that as Canada as opposed to America, you know, just…”

“Different. Homogenous,” Anka offered.

“Nicer,” Maher said.

“We’re not a homogeneous nation here,” Anka said of the United States. “You look at homogeneous nations, Asian, wherever, different cultures. We’re not homogeneous. That’s been part of what we have to deal with. But that’s the greatness of America. But Canada is homogeneous. Only now are they feeling it. A city like Toronto, there’s over 400,000 immigrants, and their crime rate has gone through the roof.”

“Yeah. No. Canada and England, you know, in my lifetime. And again, this is not a complaint, haters, for the better, became way more diverse. I was in London for the first time in 1984. So, I’m not saying it was better that it was an all-white city. I’m glad historically, I got to see this thing back when, like it looked like World War II Britain,” Maher said. “The food was horrible. Everything was Brussels sprouts. The television had two channels. You know, there was an England. And I’m not saying it was all better. And I think London now is like, oh, I mean, it’s like I think 70% minority or something and, you know, this is called progress.”

“And now they’re leaving England just like France,” Anka added.

“But I’m always having to beg progressives to like enjoy the product you’re selling: Progress. They really hate progress. You know, there’s something about their psyche that has to say no. We haven’t done enough. Yeah. Of course, we haven’t done enough, but we did this. Could you just take the W once in a while? Do we always have to b**ch?” Maher concluded.
