PBS’ ‘Pelosi Power’ powder-puff documentary puts a victor’s spin on history

Whoever wins the war writes the history and while it’s arguable that the war is over just yet, there’s little argument that the left, to include the vast majority of the cooperate media, are prevailing at the moment.

And while PBS is a private, nonprofit media enterprise owned by its member public television stations, it’s among the most liberal of media outlets and a “Frontline” documentary highlighting the long career of 82-year-old House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is a very complimentary spin on reality.

Titled “Pelosi’s Power,” the film is produced by filmmaker Michael Kirk and offers amply praise of Pelosi, to include liberal author Rebecca Traister stating, “Within a capitalist white patriarchy, Nancy Pelosi is a person who is not supposed to have the authority to talk back to the President of the United States during a war. So she is a tremendous threat.”

“A gripping and unprecedented look at the life and legacy of the first woman Speaker of the House: how she has gained and wielded power across three decades, and how she has handled grave challenges to her leadership and to American democracy from former President Donald Trump and his allies,” PBS’s description of documentary said.

Fox News notes that PBS “frames Pelosi’s career as a protagonist in a hostile environment,” never mind that critics might suggest Pelosi was often creating the hostility.

What you will not see on the documentary is Pelosi forcing 2,000-plus page bills down America’s throat with no time to even read what is in the bills as she infamously stated when passing the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare: “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.” Of course, the Orwellian fact checkers will slap media outlets for quoting the speaker if they don’t add the “context” that she followed the remark by saying “…away from the fog of the controversy.”

Instead, she s celebrated for that feat and viewers are told Pelosi “literally put her speakership on the line by pushing through Obamacare.”

There will also be no reference to Pelosi essentially weaponizing half of one of the three branches of government to go after the opposing party, conducting what many critics have said was not one, but TWO sham impeachments of a sitting president, Donald Trump — a sitting president who was allegedly being undermined throughout his four years in office by members of the legislature and the U.S. intelligence apparatus.

When it comes to former President Trump, PBS begins with the commonly accepted notion on the left that Trump is bad and everything that was done to counter him was not only justified, but necessary — it remains to be seen if future historians interpret what took place that way.
