Pete Hegseth expertly shuts down biased reporter for ‘unqualified’ question

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth refused to play ball with a journalist during a round table discussion with the Saudis on Monday.

While discussing security measures against Iran, Hegseth took questions from journalists in attendance. At one point, he was asked why he “selected an underqualified retired lieutenant general to be the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff?” The reporter was referring to Lieutenant General Dan ‘Razin’ Caine who had been nominated by Trump for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff position.

Refusing to play the media’s games, Hegseth quickly dismissed both the question and the person who asked it.

“I’m going to choose to reject your unqualified question. Who’s next?”
