Pro-Farrakhan pastor slams Black Trump supporters with racist terms as he preaches against racism

A megachurch pastor “humbled” to be in the presence of Louis Farrakhan preached woke activism for a season of repentance while slamming “coons” supporting the president.

Late last week, President Donald Trump hosted a Black History Month celebration from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue honoring contributions of “black legends, champions, warriors and patriots that help drive our country forward to greatness.” In response to the event and the effort to eliminate DEI initiatives, Dr. Jamal Bryant belittled the “runaway slaves” backing the GOP leader as he called for a “fast” from shopping at Target.

“I feel bad for them coons in the White House who are in there tap dancing for ‘massah,’ wearing bow ties shimmying and grinding, laughing like nothin’ is funny,” expressed the pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church from behind a podium depicting a cross gripped tight in a familiar closed fist.

In addition to his criticisms of black Trump supporters during his sermon, wherein he described Jesus Christ as a black man, Bryant pushed for a boycott of Target during the season of Lent after the company was included on the negative side of the NAACP’s recently launched Black Consumer Advisory.

“I want the stock to go down because we are standing in righteous indignation against racism and sexism in this nation. We are going to break the spirit of white entitlement. We are going to break the spirit of racism and sexism,” railed the pastor. “If they start losing $29 million a day for 40 days, we will break the back of the system.”

Set to begin Ash Wednesday and continuing through Holy Week with its conclusion around the Easter Triduum, Lent is traditionally observed as a season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, not political activism.

Of course, the Sunday sermon wasn’t the only place where Bryant had embraced radical social justice, having shown favor to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan during a 2015 interview.

“We welcome to the Word Network and the entire world, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan! We’re honored to have you, sir,” said the pastor who also runs a podcast. “I’m so appreciative to be able to mark in history that I lived in the same chasm of time as one of the greatest leaders of our people.”

A review from Fox Business also detailed “dozens of other tweets related to Farrakhan” on his X account, including a post in 2019 that described him as “humbled” to be around the black nationalist leader deemed by men as racist and antisemitic. Bryant was also thanked for his “leadership” when he stumped for then-Vice President Kamala Harris during her second failed presidential campaign.

As previously reported, the NAACP sought to weaponize almost $2 trillion worth of “Black dollars” toward keeping DEI initiatives in corporate America alive, contending that “those who reject the multicultural nature of consumerism and business will be left in the past they are living in.”

Like Rev. Al Sharpton’s call for consumers to shop at Costco for holding fast to the divisive policies, the organization compiled lists of companies that favored and opposed DEI while encouraging black people to shop exclusively with the former.
