Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy sparred with clueless and inept White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday, asking her point blank if President Biden is bothered by former President Trump taking up the entire news cycle.

Doocy was, of course, referring to the circus surrounding Trump’s indictment and his appearance in a Manhattan courtroom this week after being charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records which many see as a brazen political witch hunt.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is attempting to morph a misdemeanor into numerous felonies on a charge that others dismissed. Trump denies the charges and the case is considered exceedingly weak. If the former president were to be convicted on all counts, he could get over 100 years in prison for something the statute of limitations ran out on long ago.
The district attorney leveled charges that Trump paid hush money amounting to $130,000 to former porn star Stormy Daniels and $150,000 to Playboy model Karen McDougal to remain silent about alleged affairs.
Bragg also accused Trump of conducting a “catch and kill” scheme in conjunction with American Media Inc. over allegedly paying a former Trump Tower doorman to stay silent over the former president’s non-existent love child. The accusation was deemed as false previously and an unnamed woman at the center of the political frenzy “emphatically” denied that she had an affair with Trump.
She told the Associated Press, “This is all fake.” But Bragg dredged up the debunked story anyway and threw it along with the kitchen sink into Trump’s charges.

“Does it bug President Biden when former presidents suck up all the oxygen?” Doocy asked Jean-Pierre during Wednesday’s briefing.
“What’s important to the president is to continue to focus on the American people,” Jean-Pierre predictably replied, not answering the question. “That is what’s important to the president.”
“So, it’s good to lay low for a couple news cycles then?” Doocy asked twisting the knife a little further.
Instead of addressing the issue, as usual, she deflected and started lauding one of Biden’s so-called legislative accomplishments.
“Here’s the thing, Peter,” she replied, talking down to Doocy as if he was beneath her. “When you think about the infrastructure legislation, something that you know, we heard many times during the last administration. ‘Infrastructure Week, Infrastructure Week.’ Guess what this president was able to do. He was able to bring both sides together to get this done.”
“That’s what the president cares about. What he wants to see is how do we build on his economic policies and economic plan that has been able to turn this country around from when he first walked in from what we saw happen in the last administration. Basically, a mess when it came to the economy, when it came to dealing with COVID,” she added.
The reference was to the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act signed into law by Biden. That act has widely been seen as a disaster and has done little for infrastructure or jobs. Instead, it has pushed a green agenda that is destroying jobs left and right as it goes.
Doocy proceeded to also ask if the Biden administration plans to put US troops on the ground in Taiwan if China invades. The press secretary did not answer, claiming she had already responded to that question several times.
Doocy: “On the Taiwan president visit, if China tries to takeover Taiwan, is President Biden still committed to putting U.S. boots on the ground in Taiwan?”

He then attempted to get a cogent answer from Jean-Pierre on the administration claiming China did not gather any intelligence after flying a spy balloon over sensitive military installations in February. It has since been admitted by the Pentagon that intelligence was obtained by the Chinese in real-time using the balloon.
The press secretary referred Doocy to the DNI and said the military took action to take down the balloon and prevent the Chinese from obtaining sensitive information which, again, is not an accurate or truthful assertion.
Doocy: “On the China spycraft, why did President Biden say about the China spycraft in February, ‘we were able to protect sensitive sites against collection’ if that’s not true?”
KJP: “I’m not going to go into–dive into any reporting. That’s not something I’m going to do.” pic.twitter.com/EqWQ9LMBGG
