British journalist Piers Morgan thinks Vice President Kamala Harris has a challenging road ahead as she seeks to take on former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.
The “honeymoon” period with Harris will be short-lived, according to Morgan who called out the current VP as the “most far-left senator” in modern history, referring to her stint as a California senator before beginning and ending her 2020 presidential run.
Speaking on “Fox News Saturday Night,” Morgan reiterated his comparison of Trump to Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, saying they are both showmen whose age has not slowed them down.
He also likened the pressure on President Joe Biden to exit the election race to a scene out of the 1990 mafia film, “Goodfellas.”

“I think the whole thing has been a fascinating exercise in the ruthless betrayal nature of politics,” he said. “One minute they are all over you like a rash and the next minute you are a rash.”
Host Jimmy Failla asked Morgan about the “pivot” to the “Kamala propaganda” that followed Biden’s announcement that he was ending his re-election bid.
“I am fascinated by the immediate pivot to this cop Kamala propaganda because if you remember, we’re about three months removed from them talking about pulling her off the ticket, of course, OK. And now, we’re being told she’s the greatest person in the world despite the fact she ran for president, and when she dropped out, she was polling behind ISIS,” Failla said.
“She’s getting a fantastically amazing honeymoon, and it’s going to last about a week,” Morgan replied. “Then reality will kick in, and Donald Trump will start going very hard, as he already is about her record, and her record is she is literally, probably the most far-left senator in modern American history.”
“This is quite amusing to me because, on the one hand, you have the Democrats shouting at Republicans, ‘Don’t you dare make this about her skin color or her gender and, on the other hand, they’re saying, if you don’t vote for the black woman, you are a racist, misogynist,” he told Failla. “Which one is it?”
Failla pointed out that even Democrats didn’t vote for Harris who was endorsed by Biden before others in the party fell in line and touted her as the presumptive nominee.
Speaking of the Democrats’ support of Harris despite her record, Morgan used an analogy to the Titanic.
“The analogy I would give you is if you were on the Titanic, which the Democrats were with Biden, and he’s hit the iceberg, and it’s going down, and the last lifeboat has just disappeared … into the moonlight, you will take any vessel you can see,” he said. “It doesn’t matter how big it is, how it’s moving, what chance do you have of actually getting to land,” Morgan said.
“You’ll just jump on anything, and that’s where we are,” he added.
Before Biden’s Oval Office address to the nation, Morgan wondered who was running the country and urged the president to resign.
