Pope Leo XIV set to break bread with trans activists at annual Jubilee of the Poor

Pope Leo XIV is scheduled to break bread with a group of transgender activists at a special luncheon at the Vatican this weekend, another sign that he might be just as woke as his predecessor, Pope Francis.

The Pontiff will meet with Alessia Nobile, a prominent Catholic trans activist, and four others at the “Jubilee of the Poor” in St Peter’s Basilica on Sunday, an event coinciding with the eighth annual World Day of the Poor, a new Church tradition established by Pope Francis that began in 2017.

Leftist activist Catholic blogger Christopher Hale broke the news in a post to The Letters from Leo, his Substack page.

According to Hale, “Nobile, 46, has confirmed that she and four other transgender women were invited to the luncheon after she formally requested an audience with the new pope, motivated by her concern that the Church might ‘turn back on LGBTQ rights’ after the death of her friend, Pope Francis.”

“The upcoming meeting — unprecedented in placing a transgender advocate at the pope’s luncheon — is seen as a continuation of Pope Francis’s legacy of outreach to marginalized people, and Nobile hopes it will reassure the LGBTQ community of the Vatican’s commitment to inclusion and dialogue,” he wrote.

“I felt rejected by the Church and I was even subjected to an exorcism,” Nobile said of his early years.

“I ask Leo not to go backwards on rights,” the trans activist told Italian media, according to the LGBTQ+ media outlet Pink News.

X users reacted to the Pope effectively permitting the transgender movement to plant its multicolored political flag at the Vatican.

Hailing from Chicago, there was much hope that Leo would mark a return to the days when the Catholic Church wasn’t a vessel for the global left-wing cultural revolution as it was during Francis’ tenure. But it now looks like the new pope is sticking true to his Windy City roots, a deep blue bastion of the Democratic Party.

Last month, his holiness lent credence to the climate doomsday cult when he blessed a chunk of ice at the Raising Hope for Climate Justice conference at Castel Gandolfo, Italy, a bizarre pagan ceremony for a movement that has become a new religion.

“We cannot love God, whom we cannot see, while despising his creatures. Nor can we call ourselves disciples of Jesus Christ without participating in his outlook on creation and his care for all that is fragile and wounded,” Leo said from the stage that featured lush tropical plants and the large hunk of a melting glacier from Greenland.

“Horrific. The whole thing. Pope Leo blesses a block of ice and then stands there while these communist freaks do some kind of weird pagan Earth-worshipping hippy ritual. The leader of the Catholic Church shouldn’t be anywhere near this nonsense. What the hell are we doing here?” said conservative commentator Matt Walsh at the time, reacting to Leo’s participation in the ritual that is equally strange to his entertaining a group of trannies on holy ground.
