Vice President Kamala Harris is leaning into her past as a prosecutor to bash former President Donald Trump.
Making an appearance in the gymnasium of a Wisconsin high school, Harris began by trashing the former president. She compared him to the kinds of crooks she locked up for years and paused to allow the crowd to chant “lock him up,” a phrase taken from Trump’s own campaign trail.
“I was elected attorney general of the state of California and I was a courtroom prosecutor before then. And in those roles I took on perpetrators of all kinds — predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain,” Harris said. “So hear me when I say I know Donald Trump’s type.”

The Harris campaign claims that upwards of 3,000 were packed into that gymnasium, something President Joe Biden was having a difficult time with before he dropped out of the race. As Democrats face an enthusiasm gap, it’s clear they are desperate to appear as though Kamala is revving up the base and getting in touch with younger voters in a way Biden could not.
“I’m so excited and bursting with energy,” Wisconsin Democratic Chairman Ben Wikler said to the New York Post. “If you’d asked me six weeks ago what the biggest challenge is in this campaign, [it was] that voters… are not tuning in.”
“All of that is now out the window. This is now one of the most fascinating and exciting presidential elections in modern history,” he gushed.
In her first rally of what will be a short presidential race, Kamala claimed that she would “fight for” America’s middle class.
“Do we want to live in a country of freedom, compassion, and rule of law? Or a country of chaos, fear, and hate?” she asked the crowd. “This campaign is not just about us versus Donald Trump. This campaign is about who we fight for.”
“We have doors to knock on. We have phone calls to make, we have voters to register, and we have an election to win,” the vice president continued.
But while some Democrats may feel invigorated by Biden being switched out for Kamala, others are not so excited. A small gathering of pro-Palestine protesters gathered outside the event, but notably did not try to interrupt the event like they had done to “Genocide Joe.”

Pretty overwhelmingly white audience for a candidate who was supposed to rival Obama in terms of minority turnout.

The woman has no class. She resorts to character assassination because she doesn’t have a good record as a VP .
