The son of Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) apologized after drunkenly berating a GOP lawmaker at a Capitol Hill bar using “anti-Semitic” language.
In the shocking incident which was witnessed by NOTUS reporter Reese Gorman, William Paul confronted Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) about next week’s Republican primary election in Kentucky, where chronic pain in the neck Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) stands to be dislodged from his House seat.
The intoxicated younger Paul reportedly accused the Irish-Italian Catholic congressman of being Jewish and opined that if Massie goes on to lose the primary, it would be the fault of the Jews.
Rand Paul’s Son William Hurled Antisemitic Insults at Rep. Mike Lawler
William Paul told Mike Lawler that if Thomas Massie loses the primary, it’s going to be because of “your people.”
“My people?” Lawler asked Paul.
“Yeah, you Jews,” Paul responded.“Do you think I’m Jewish?”…

Paul, who was sitting a couple of seats down from Lawler at the restaurant’s bar, introduced himself as the senator’s son while interrupting a conversation between the New York Republican and the outlet, saying that a Massie defeat would be because of “your people.”
“My people?” Lawler asked the inebriated Paul.
“Yeah, you Jews,” he responded.
“Do you think I’m Jewish?” Lawler said. “I’m not.”
“Oh wow, I’m so sorry for calling you a Jew,” Paul responded, going on to complain that Jews are “anti-American” and that the congressman and his “Jewish supporters” are more concerned about Israel than America.
According to Gorman, “Lawler repeatedly pushed back and engaged with Paul, defending his support of Israel, and told Paul he was being antisemitic.”
The ugly scene concluded with Paul shooting Lawler the bird.
“Did you just give me the middle finger?” Lawler asked, to which the Kentucky senator’s son replied, “I’m sorry, yeah, I did. I’m just really drunk. I’m going to leave.”
“He then paid his tab and started to walk away. On his way out, he knocked his barstool down and tripped over it,” NOTUS reported.
On Wednesday, Lawler described the “f**king disgusting” incident to reporters at the Capitol.

William Paul apologized for his boorish drunken behavior in a Wednesday post to X, claiming that he’s seeking help for his boozing.
Last night, I had too much to drink and said some things that don’t represent who I really am. I’m sorry and today I am seeking help for my drinking problem. @jchristenson_ @lawler4ny @reesejgorman

“Last night, I had too much to drink and said some things that don’t represent who I really am. I’m sorry and today I am seeking help for my drinking problem,” he wrote.
“The senator’s son previously pleaded guilty in 2015 to driving under the influence after smashing his Honda truck into a parked car and being found ‘belligerent’ and with ‘a strong odor of alcohol,’ per the Lexington Herald-Leader,” the New York Post reported. “Two years before, Paul got arrested for allegedly assaulting a 22-year-old female flight attendant on a plane headed for Charlotte, N.C. Authorities charged him after he landed with consuming beer or wine underage and disorderly conduct.”
The incident is likely to cause a colossal public relations problem for his libertarian maverick dad, who, like his fellow Kentuckian Massie, has also been a persistent fly in the ointment when it comes to President Donald J. Trump’s agenda.
