A House Democrat has been missing in action since the middle of April, leading many to wonder what happened to her.
Rep. Frederica Wilson, 83, hasn’t voted since April 17, according to congressional reporter Jamie Dupree.
In addition, she missed all 10 House votes on Wednesday, bringing her total to 43 missed votes.
Rep. Frederica Wilson D-FL missed all 10 votes on Wednesday in the House. Wilson has now missed 43 straight votes – she last voted on April 17.

In the post above, Dupree also noted that Wilson’s X account has been posting suspicious content. For instance, she recently posted old photos as if they were new.
Wilson last released a public statement in May, when she responded to the Supreme Court striking down Louisiana’s race-based congressional district map.
“This decision is a setback for voting rights and fair representation. Full stop,” she said. “Let me be clear. For generations, people fought, marched, and even died for the right to vote in this country. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 was supposed to protect that right and make sure communities that were shut out of power finally had a fair chance to be heard.”
“Today’s ruling weakens that protection. Even though Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act is still on the books, this decision makes it harder to use it the way it was intended. And when that happens, it is Black voters and other communities of color who pay the price first,” she added.

On the other side of the aisle, Rep. Tom Kean, 57, hasn’t voted since March 5 and is expected to miss another week of work this week, according to NBC News. Despite this, he still maintains he intends to run for reelection.
In a statement to the network, his office said he’s been out of the office for so long because of a “personal health matter.”
“Congressman Kean is still attending to a personal health matter, and we appreciate the outpouring of support,” Kean’s chief of staff, Dan Scharfenberger, said. “He will be returning to a regular full schedule soon. The Congressman’s team continues to serve the people of New Jersey uninterrupted.”
MS NOW wasn’t impressed by Scharfenberger’s words. The network noted that “[i]n early April, there were reports that some of his colleagues had reached out to Kean to check to see how he was doing, but their calls went unanswered.”
Furthermore, in late April, Kean’s office published a statement assuring the public that he’d be back on track soon enough. A few weeks later, he’s still gone, though his online activity remains:
Last week, my staff had the privilege of joining Our Community Salutes of North Jersey’s 10th Anniversary celebration to honor the 2026 high school enlistees entering military service.

Even House Speaker Mike Johnson reportedly has no clue when Kean will be returning to work.
“I don’t know,” he said Tuesday when asked about the matter.
“If you were missing work, you would tell your boss, and Tom Kean Jr.’s boss is the people,” Michael Roth, one of the Democrats running against the Republican congressman, said this week, according to the New Jersey Monitor. “He did not tell us. That’s it.”
“And in the time that he did not show up for work, he has raised more than $600,000 just from corporate PACs alone. That tells you who his boss is. It is time that we get a member of Congress who will show up,” he added.
“What we are being assured is that his team is carrying the torch, but we elected Tom Kean Jr., not his team,” another Democrat challenger, Tina Shah, added.
