Riley Gaines reacts to crazed Keith Olbermann attacks: ‘Who is this guy? I don’t even know.’

Riley Gaines admitted she did not even know who Keith Olbermann was before the “senile old man” engaged in a war of words with the former competitive swimmer.

Speaking with podcaster Joe Rogan, the former All-American and 4-time SEC Champion for the University of Kentucky recalled how Olbermann lashed out at her as “stupid” and “unsuccessful” in addition to being a “transphobe” who “sucked at swimming.”

“I very proudly finished my career as a 12-time All-American, a five-time SEC champion, the SEC record holder, SEC scholar athlete of the year, SEC community services leader of the year, I can keep going on, and it’s like, this senile old man wants to attack me?” she said, recalling the attacks by the former sports commentator turned leftist crank.

“He still lives with his mom in her basement. I had to ask my dad, ‘Who is this guy?’ I don’t even know who he is,” Gaines said on “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

Gaines had responded to Olbermann’s insults last year by posting a video of herself going through her many trophies and awards including SEC female scholar-athlete of the year, All-SEC first-team, and three SEC titles. Olbermann’s unhinged attacks on Gaines centered on her vocal stand to keep transgender women out of female sports.

“Can you just address the reality and move past it? You sucked at swimming. That’s why you lost,” the former ESPN host had tweeted at the time.

“Ah, makes sense now why you got fired from ESPN,” Gaines fired back online where readers also provided the clueless Olbermann with a needed fact-check.

“Apparently holding the SEC record and being one of the fastest Americans of all time in the 200 butterfly is amateur,” she posted at the time.

“My motto is – I feel like for the most part, I pretty much live by this – ‘Don’t punch down. Don’t give someone attention when that’s clearly what they’re vying for,’” Gaines told Rogan. “But I literally could not resist myself when it came to him.”

Rogan mocked Olbermann as “the Babylon Bee version of a Democrat,” adding that Trump Derangement Syndrome had gotten the best of the once respected sports commentator.

Gaines noted that she had dropped and broken a glass trophy but the SEC had sent her a replacement.

“They’re like, ‘We’re so sorry you had to waste your time and break a trophy over Keith Olbermann, we wanted to send you a new one,’” she told Rogan. “Whatever, I got more of them. Thanks, Keith Olbermann.”
