Rob Schneider suggests Garth Brooks should’ve ‘shut his mouth’, predicts next spineless move

Legendary comic and actor Rob Schneider thinks that country music superstar Garth Brooks may have let his ego do the talking when he waded into the culture war by insulting potential customers of his new bar if they didn’t approve of Bud Light being sold there, suggesting that if he had it to do over again, that he may choose to remain silent rather than risk angering his fanbase.

In a recent discussion with Billboard, Brooks talked about his new “Friends In Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk” in Nashville, saying that he will be serving every kind of beer and that “If you’re an a**hole, there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway,” remarks that got him into serious trouble with many conservatives who were offended by his rude attitude, including Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) who tweeted, “I’m sure glad we have Garth Brooks to tell us who is and isn’t an a**hole.”

The backlash forced Brooks to somewhat walk back his comments but the damage was already done with the immensely popular artist finding out that taking sides on the promotion of the “woke” transgender agenda, which millions of Americans find to be repulsive, is like touching a hot stove.

“I think next time, he’s going to stay out of it. Isn’t he? I think Garth Brooks, next time, is going to shut his mouth, and he’s going to pretend like ‘I don’t have anything to do with what beer is chosen in my restaurant’,” Schneider told Fox News Digital.

“I think the culture is in a very weird little place of hypersensitivity one way or the other. And I think that’s why most people shut their mouths.” he said, “I mean, just from a business standpoint, just shut up, say I have nothing to do with it.”

Schneider, the star of Fox Nation’s “Woke Up in America” also appeared on Monday’s edition of “Fox & Friends” where he discussed his new comedy special and the ongoing battle against the left’s cultural revolution.

“I think diversity is the answer to the problems that are here and the answer to the problems that are coming. So I love diversity. All-inclusive, so all are welcome. I understand that might not be other people’s opinions, but that’s OK, man. They have their opinions, they have their beliefs. I have mine,” Brooks said in his partial climbdown on his Facebook live stream.

“That’s the thing. I’m just as susceptible as Garth – ego. You know, he had to put this in, ‘Well, I think that, you know, I’m a good person because I did…’ And it’s like, shut up,” Schneider added, saying that he understands where Brooks was coming from.

“As I was saying on ‘Fox and Friends’ this morning, I sound like a baseball player who apologized for upsetting people because he dared give an opinion about what was happening at one of his favorite shopping places, Target, and then he apologized to the fans and friends, and then he still gets booed,” he said. “So there is no root. There is no road to forgiveness. There is no way to make amends.”

“I’m going to speak my mind and then deal with what I do, and if I make less money – I’m sorry. I won’t get a private jet. I’ll just fly first class on Delta, sorry,” Schneider added.
