‘Satan respects pronouns’: Designer behind Target’s ‘Pride’ collection for kids reportedly a proud Satanist

In celebration of Gay Pride month, Target has made the potentially fatal woke marketing blunder of partnering with UK-based satanic designer Abprallen whose designs proclaim that “Satan loves you” and “Satan respects pronouns.”

In its Pride line, Target is marketing Abprallen’s “Cure Transphobia” sweatshirt, which has emblazoned on it “Cure transphobia, not trans people.”

The designer, whose name is “Erik” and identifies as a “gay, trans man,” mixes satanic messages with pro-LGBT activism. He asserts on his Instagram page that “Satan loves you and respects who you are; you’re important and valuable in this world and you deserve to treat yourself with love and respect.”

“LGBT+ people are so often referred to as being a product of Satan or going against God’s will, so fine. We’ll hang with Satan instead,” he states. “So, naturally, Satan respects pronouns. He loves all LGBT+ people.”

“Satanists don’t actually believe in Satan, he is merely used as a symbol of passion, pride, and liberty. He means to you what you need him to mean. So for me, Satan is hope, compassion, equality, and love,” the designer claims.

It should be noted that Target does not sell Satan-inspired items from the designer. Nonetheless, they have literally crawled onto the altar with him.

The designer commented in one post that the “Satan respects pronouns” pin, which features an image of the demon Baphomet, is one of “my favorite and most popular designs, and the one that gave Abprallen its proper footing and direction.”

“Coming up with this phrase really helped make Abprallen what it is today,” Erik states on his social media page.

Being called a demon is something I can cope with, and the idea of a trans demon is pretty damn cool, most of my work focusses on gothic or dark and satanic imagery juxtaposed with bright colours and LGBT+ positive messages,” the designer wrote in a separate post with satanist artwork.

He has a wide array of designs and some of them are not only satanic but violent and, to say the least, blasphemous.

The company also sells clothing designs showing the phrases “We Bash Back” with a heart-shaped mace in the trans-flag colors, “Transphobe Collector” with a skull, and “Homophobe Headrest” with skulls beside a pastel guillotine. Other products by Abprallen include enamel pins saying “Heteronormativity Is A Plague,” “Time’s Up For Transphobes,” and “Join My Gay Cult.” Abprallen also markets a “Trans Witches for Abortion” button.

Target now has an entire section of LGBT clothing. They have also mixed it in with other lines, especially for young children. The retailer brags about its “longstanding commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion” on its website.

“They are part of our core values, shape our culture and drive our business, and we’ve been on a journey for more than 17 years to build and refine our DE&I strategy,” Target proudly claims.
