School board members throw down over silencing dad trying to read from kinky books exposed to students

Members of the Anchorage School District school board in Alaska reportedly verbally tussled last week after a father tried to speak out about and expose the district’s controversial “diversity, inclusion, and equity” agenda.

During a Feb. 7th school board hearing, local father Jay McDonald tried to demonstrate to the board what exactly their “diversity, inclusion, and equity” agenda looks like.

“We don’t often see specific examples of what diversity, inclusion and equity looks like. So today I brought an excellent representation. This is like the archetype of diversity, inclusion, equity material – this was one of the books that was recently purchased for the libraries,” he said, according to the Alaska Watchman.

The “excellent representation” was a graphic, arguably pornographic book titled “Let’s Talk About It.”

To really get across his point, the father began reading from some of the book’s more controversial sections, such as the one about “sexting.”

“So before you start sending your naughty masterpieces around the world, take some time to get friendly with photo editing software and apps. Digital photos are permanent, and impossible to retract once they’re out there, so keep your recognizable features out of them, before you share them,” he read.

“Crop out your face, hide your birthmarks and scars, and edit out your piercings and tattoos, and don’t forget to tell your sweety how hot they look. Let them know you appreciate the little gift they’ve sent you,” he continued before taking a moment to stress to the board that these books are being targeted toward children.

It’s at this point that the school board’s vice president, Carl Jacobs, interrupted McDonald.

“I’m going to interrupt you at this point. It sounds like you have a concern about a book. I’d be glad to get you connected to the superintendent and their team to go through the appropriate process,” he said.

McDonald didn’t take kindly to the interruption.

“I’d appreciate it if you don’t interrupt my time,” he said, prompting an immediate clapback from Jacobs.

“Mr. McDonald, I’ve asked you to defer to the superintendent and their team. If you have a concern about a book, we have a procedure and a process and a team ready to assist you,” he said.

That’s when another school board member, Dave Donley, reportedly a conservative, decided to speak up to urge Jacobs to let McDonald finish speaking.

“I don’t think he has violated any rules. He hasn’t shown any pornography. He hasn’t used bad words,” he said.

Jacobs ignored Donley’s point and said that if he had issues with his ruling, that he could challenge the ruling with a vote. Donley tried exactly that but ultimately lost, with only one other board member, Andy Holleman, voting with him, and the other two voting with Jacobs.

To his credit, Jacobs then allowed McDonald to continue speaking, but only so long as he didn’t read from the book.

This baffled McDonald, who rightly noted that it doesn’t make sense that the book is apparently OK for children but not OK for adults.

“I don’t understand how it’s appropriate for kids, and it’s not appropriate for the school board. It feels a lot like you don’t want parents to be seeing what’s being given to the kids,” he said.

“You’re happy to give these books to kids. It seems like you’re terrified to give them to parents, and I think it’s an absolute travesty that you cut off my time and don’t even let me have my three minutes. I think you’re breaking your own rules. Thank you,” he added.

McDonald then left the school board meeting and recorded a video from his car talking about why the book is clearly inappropriate for children:

Anchorage School Board banned me from speaking

“It’s got a whole chapter on sexting, and they’re not telling kids, don’t do it. They’re encouraging them to edit their photos. To remove identifying characteristics before sending their naked nudes out on the internet. This is what we got in middle schools,” he said.

To further convey his point — this time to the public, not the school board — he then read from a chapter about “kinks, fantasies, and porn.”

“A great place to research fantasies and kinks safely is on the internet. There are tons of people and communities out there who share your interests and have all kinds of advice. The online world is also chockablock full of pornography; professionals and amateurs alike sharing their sexy adventures online. When consumed right, porn can help you discover new aspects of your sexuality and help you safely explore kinks and fantasies,” he read.

But it gets worse. The book even tells children to research their favorite porn stars.

“Look up interviews with your fave porn performers, go to sites they recommend, and pay for your porn,” it reportedly says.

Speaking with Fox News later, McDonald said it’s not about just one book.

“This is a much larger push. They’re pushing critical gender theory on kids starting in elementary school. They’re encouraging them to get what they call ‘gender creative,’ and they’re transitioning them in the public schools, and they’re doing it without prior notification or consent from the parents,” he said.

“And in some cases, they never tell the parents. So I’m encouraging people, like if you’re not able to homeschool, please just sit down with your kids and talk to them about what they hear in school,” he added.
