Scott Jennings once again delivered a blistering reality check while part of a CNN panel discussion.
The conservative political commentator explained portions of the “Big Beautiful Bill” while reminding Republicans dragging their feet why they need to “run the play” set out by President Donald Trump.
It is not unpopular to cut taxes.
It is not unpopular to deport more violent criminals.
It is not unpopular to make sure illegal aliens are not getting welfare.
It will WORK if Republicans will just run the play President Trump has called. pic.twitter.com/55Y6wb57mS

“It is not unpopular to invest in ICE, it is not unpopular to give this agency what it needs to deport violent criminals,” Jennings said.
“It is not unpopular to make sure illegal aliens are not getting welfare. It is not unpopular to take able-bodied Americans who are not doing anything, who are choosing not to work, it’s not unpopular to say we’re not paying for your welfare when we’re asking everybody else to get up and go to work,” the CNN senior political commentator continued.
“These are popular provisions, as is ‘No Tax On Tips,’ as is keeping the tax rates low,” Jennings said, giving RINOs a refresher course in what the GOP supports.
“You keep talking about the popularity of the bill. Individual provisions are exactly how Trump won the national popular vote; it will work if they run the play,” he contended.
Some House Republican holdouts seemed to come around as the sweeping bill awaits a final vote on Thursday.
“We’re excited to get this done. If Hakeem would stop talking, we’ll get the job done for the American people,” Speaker Mike Johnson said as he took a shot at House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and his attempt to delay the vote with a lengthy floor speech.
“It takes a lot longer to build a lie than to tell the truth, so he’s really spinning a long tale in there, but we’re excited. The people will feel the effect of this bill,” Johnson added.
Meanwhile, Jennings’ take on the bill during the CNN panel discussion set off plenty of reactions from social media users on X.
Now, that’s a truth bomb.

Exactly! Why is it so hard for Congress to put America First?

Republicans in Congress are our own worst enemy! Sick of them not doing the will of the people who voted for them. All the democrats stick together like glue and republicans are like a bull in a china shop!
