Social media roasts Pelosi’s appearance on drag show: ‘Tells you everything you need to know’

Nancy Pelosi is once again pulling on her Kinky Boots and gearing up for yet another appearance on a show all about the glamor and glitz of cross-dressing.

Trailers for the new season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” feature the Speaker of the House and third in line for the presidency parroting the show’s tagline: “Can I get an amen?”

Pelosi will join Cameron Diaz, Naomi Campbell, and Tove Lo as a guest judge during Season 7 of the show, which features a catty group of previously-crowned cross-dressers competing for, among other things, $100,000 and snap-worthy bragging rights.

In 2018, Pelosi dropped by the show’s “werk room” and received a gushy greeting.

“I’m dying,” one contestant exclaimed. “I just want to say ‘thank you’ to her. I want to hug her. I want to be, like, ‘kick their ass.'”

“Nancy Pelosi is spearheading the way through,” he stated.

“Nancy Pelosi is a strong woman who knows how to get things done,” RuPaul said as he introduced her, calling her “a champion for LGBT rights.”

“Well, when I got the invitation to visit the werk room,” Pelosi responded at the time, “I couldn’t resist.”

And Pelosi isn’t the only politician to grace the Drag Race stage.

In 2020, the Squad’s head cheerleader, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wrapped herself in sparkles and joined “the Ruvolution.”

“Join the Ruvolution,” AOC urged viewers in an ad for the show. “I’m Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and I pledge allegiance to the drag.”

While one might think fans of the show would be cheering Pelosi’s return, especially considering the heated national discussion surrounding Disney’s war on Florida’s parental rights legislation, users on Twitter — many of them sporting rainbow flags next to their names — are not impressed.

Sorry, Nancy… If social media is any indication, you’re gonna have to “werk” harder.
