‘Star Wars’ actor Mark Hamill seeks to rally leftist against Musk to boycott rebranded Twitter. Well, bye!

Billionaire Elon Musk was already a reviled figure with left-wing celebs since he took control of Twitter last year and promptly restored free speech to the platform, and his rebranding of the social media giant to X isn’t going over well with actor Mark Hamill.

Hamill, who played young resistance hero Luke Skywalker in the iconic first three “Star Wars” movies and later reprised his role in the most recent installments of the series which unfortunately was given a “woke”  injection for modern audiences, has made it clear that he’s no fan of the now-dismantled giant flashing X sign atop the company’s San Francisco headquarters.

“Has everybody seen the (eXecrable) new logo?” Hamill wrote last week, adding the hashtags “ByeByeBirdie” and “TaTaTwitter.”

Not content to merely complain like the grumpy senior citizen that he now is, the 71-year-old is seeking to rally the leftist resistance against the Tesla/SpaceX CEO and X owner with a boycott of the platform, or as he calls it, #TweetlessTuesday, calling for his followers to refrain from posting on August 1.

“This will only be effective if EVERYONE refrains from tweeting (X-ing?) on August 1st a/k/a #TweetlessTuesday. Let’s show the owner the POWER OF THE PEOPLE. Honestly, would it kill you to keep your thoughts to yourself for 1 damn day? Read a book!” Hamill wrote in response to a user’s call for the boycott.

He also posted his own notice of the boycott, saying that it was less a “political stunt” than it is “simply an experimental STUNT because I’m bored & wanna see what happens.”

Unfortunately for the elderly Skywalker, Twitter/X users weren’t keen on the idea and shredded him with remarks that were chock full of “Star Wars” references.

Hamill’s fellow Hollywood leftist, the f-bomb-spewing “Hellboy” actor Ron Perlman, a man with a mouth like an open sewer, was mocked by Musk after he took to the platform to complain about Twitter’s name change.

The truth is that they may complain a lot, but left-wing celebs couldn’t live without Twitter/X.
