The family of one of the two Las Vegas teens who killed an elderly white bicyclist has suggested to the media that the boy is somehow innocent.
As previously reported, teens Jesus Ayala, 17, and Jzamir Keys, 16, filmed themselves intentionally plowing into and killing a retired police chief as he was riding his bicycle. Ayala was reportedly driving while Keys was recording and hyping him on.
Speaking with Las Vegas station KLAS, Keys’ mother said, “My son’s side of the story will be told, ‘the truth,’ not the inaccuracies the media will try to portray.”
It’s not clear what “truth” may be given as Keys is seen on video encouraging Ayala to drive into and potentially kill the aforementioned police chief.

Let’s remind everyone what exactly happened.

Ayala’s mom responded differently.
“I don’t know why he did this. I don’t know if God can forgive this,” she said.
Critics were not pleased by the words from Keys’ mother.
See some reactions below:
Sorry mom, “the truth” is evident in the video.

What kind of truth is there to be known? He purposefully hit a cyclist and murdered him.

If my son did anything like this being tried as an adult would be the least of his problem once I got ahold of him. But I raised my son right which these families did not.

They murdered this man, hit (and run) another vehicle + plus stole 4 cars, but ok mom. I can’t wait to hear what you think the truth is vs. the media’s “inaccuracies”.

“Inaccuracies in the media” literally the only thing I’ve seen is the recording they personally made and distributed… I’m guessing the one with the mom that makes all the excuses came up with the idea.

We don’t need to hear “his side”. His side was the video he was recording of him murdering a man in cold blood and then laughing about it pic.twitter.com/WhygGPlfND

Regarding Keys, while he wasn’t the one behind the wheel when the retired police chief was hit, he did reportedly drive the car while the two previously hit another bicyclist.
“Police revealed at a news conference on Tuesday that the teens were involved in a crime spree starting with a hit and run of another cyclist. The 72-year-old man survived. Police said they believed Keys was the driver at that time,” according to KLAS.
The teens also reportedly stole four cars.
KLAS notes that Ayala for his part has an extensive juvenile criminal record. Keys, on the other hand, appears to be a product of America’s welfare system and, frankly, bad mothering.
“[H]e was in the child welfare system at 8 years old. His mother was charged with five counts of child abuse in 2016, according to court documents. Police said they found her five children ages two to nine years old home alone without access to food, a knife left on a kitchen counter, and the house in poor condition,” according to KLAS.
“Neighbors reported witnessing the children left alone for extended periods of time. The mother said that she could not find childcare while she worked. She pleaded guilty to gross misdemeanor child abuse. She later withdrew her plea after she successfully completed terms of probation and received a conviction for misdemeanor disorderly conduct.”
It’s not just Keys’ mother who’s stirred controversy. So has the daughter of the deceased retired police chief, Andreas Probst. During a press conference Wednesday, she seemed more concerned about not appearing racist than she did about expressing outrage over her father’s unnecessary, cruel death.
Watch:
Her father was MURDERED in cold blood by a “Teen” on a joyride, and the only thing she can think about is not coming off as “racist.”
Yet another futher humiliation ritual for not only this man but for all White people.
I don’t care what she thinks, if he was black, they’d be… pic.twitter.com/L6JPjPCJhY

“We are devastated by the senseless murder of Andy. Andy’s life was robbed by two individuals who did not believe that lives of others matter. We believe that Andy’s murder is the direct result of society’s decayed family values and the strong effect that social media has on our youth,” she said.
“We as a family in no way feel that Andy’s murder was based on race or profession. It was a random act of violence. We ask you to not politicize or use Andy’s murder to fuel political agendas or create cultural wars,” she added.
Interestingly, her remarks prompted almost as much backlash as the remarks made by Keys’ mom.
Look:
What a disgrace! I’d be rolling in my grave if that was my daughter.

She calls her father by his name? Is this common? I never did that in my entire life. It just feels weird.

It feels as if there is an invisible gun pointed at everyone’s heads. Who is holding the gun?

Wow she’s trying to be politically correct about her fathers murder, life does’t seem to mean as much these days, sad.

That little girl is grieving and all she can think about is how she sounds like to others… who is protecting her? Who is standing by her side?
