Steele dossier pushing Jake Tapper refuses to host debate with ‘misinformation’ spreader RFK

Wednesday night, Robert F. Kenndy Jr., who is vying for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2024, took part in his first town hall hosted by NewsNation in Chicago as CNN anchor Jake Tapper vowed he would never host one with the candidate whom he called a “misinformation” spreader over vaccines.

The event was moderated by veteran anchor Elizabeth Vargas. Kennedy handled the event very well without the presence of Tapper.

“We’re not agenda-driven here. It’s our job to follow the news and cover the news wherever that may take us,” NewsNation’s Vice President of News and Managing Editor Cherie Grzech commented on the network’s decision to host the candidate. “The responsibility that we have to our audience is to know more about someone who’s polling nearly double digits.”

Kennedy is far behind Biden in the polls but that isn’t stopping him from going all out for the nomination. He has been busy giving interviews to podcasters and media commentators, like Joe Rogan, Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe, and Jordan Peterson as well as appearing on Fox News. RFK Jr. has also bashed the media incessantly which is one of the reasons Tapper has disowned him.

Kennedy’s town hall followed Tapper accusing him in a column of telling a “wild and false” story about an interaction they had back in 2005. Those comments by RFK Jr. were made during an appearance on a podcast hosted by Jordan Peterson on June 5, 2023, and were part of a discussion on the media and Big Pharma. That video has since been removed by YouTube for what it calls “misinformation.”

“[Kennedy] spreads dangerous misinformation about childhood vaccines,” Tapper stated in the column. “He was so dishonest in that experience and since then he lies about the experience frequently.”

The medical community overwhelmingly disagrees with Kennedy, who is not a scientist or a doctor. They point out that autism rates are not decreasing, even though thimerosal has been removed from most childhood vaccines as a precaution,” he declared.

At the end of his column, Tapper charged, “We did the fact-checking for our piece that RFK Jr. didn’t do himself,” and added, “And he remains someone you cannot rely upon for facts, truth or accuracy.”

Ironically, Tapper refuses to do a town hall with Kennedy over “misinformation” when he won an award for reporting on the debunked Steele dossier pushing that former President Trump was colluding with the Russians. Those allegations have been proven false and yet, Tapper, lacking any self-retrospection whatsoever, sees himself fit to declare RFK Jr. not worthy of being on a stage with him.
