A far-leftist MSNBC host nearly lost her mind when former Trump administration official Anthony Scaramucci said on Wednesday that former President Donald Trump is a “family guy” who loves his children like “Succession” character Logan Roy.
Scaramucci offered the comparison while offering his take to far-left MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle regarding Trump’s indictment.
Watch:
“Donald J. Trump is now officially a criminal defendant. You have known him for decades, Anthony. Did you ever think this day would come?” the discussion began with Ruhle asking.
“I didn’t actually think the day would come, but now that it’s here, my take on it is a little contrarian. I think he’s very saddened by it. I think you can see the expression on his face yesterday. You can also witness his speech. That was a dour, repetitive speech. It was a list of his typical complaints. There was nothing in there of the usual fight Mr. Trump has had over the years,” Scaramucci replied.
“And the last point, which I think is mission critical, I think that everybody noticed glaringly that no family members were in that courtroom with him. Of course, this is a case about hush payments due to his personal indiscretions, and I think there are some sore points related to that. And this is a family guy. Whether you like Mr. Trump or not, he’s sort of the Logan Roy of American politics. He has this love/hate relationship with his family,” he added.
Before he could continue, a wide-eyed, shocked Ruhle broke in to argue that Roy isn’t a family guy.
“Hold on a minute. Logan Roy is not a family man. Ward Cleaver is a family man,” she said.
Scaramucci staunchly disagreed.
“Oh, no no, you gotta watch the show very carefully. He actually loves those kids. It’s just this whole narcissistic web he’s put those kids into,” he said as Ruhle looked around the room in complete shock.
“And Mr. Trump ran the Trump organization with his children. He ran the reality show with the children. Frankly, he ran the White House with his children. And they are noticeably absent here, which makes me think he eventually withdraws from this race. I don’t think he makes it to the Iowa primary,” Scaramucci added.
But Ruhle was unable to move on from the comparison.
“The way you describe the love of a child and the way I describe the love of a child are two very different things,” she said, prompting an immediate clapback.
“Well, we’ve got a lot of dysfunctional people out there, Stephanie. I’m just analyzing it for you. You can like or dislike him, but there’s something connecting him to those children, no matter how dysfunctional it may be,” Scaramucci said.
“Because they share his bloodline and potentially one could say he’s an ultimate narcissist,” Ruhle replied.
“To hang out with all the time though, Stephanie,” Scaramucci responded.
Ruhle then closed off the now-viral discussion.
Over on Twitter, which is a hotbed of far-leftism, many seemed to agree with Ruhle’s take:
Family as in “crime family.”

Well, in much the same way Vito Corleone was a family man.

If he loves his kids, where was Ivanka 2 nights ago. Where was his wife Melania?

Someone had to intervene there, because saying that Trump is a family man is bizarre in any sense. I wish she had interjected “so was Manson”

For those of you who wonder why Stephanie had that reaction it’s because in truth, Trump doesn’t love anybody but himself. Unfortunately, he doesn’t know how. #stephanieruhle knows what love is #MSNBC #trumpskids are being used

That said, who exactly is Logan Roy?
On the show “Succession,” he plays the founder and CEO of the media conglomerate Wayer Royco. He also serves as the patriarch of the Roy family.
According to a biography of him published by the entertainment website Fandom, he’s “a volatile, narcissistic, ego-centric, cunning, and intelligent self-made man.”
“He takes great pleasure in ‘making them squeal’ with ‘them’ referring to anyone he does business dealings with, and he is unafraid of emotionally damaging his opponents, even family. Logan strikes fear and obedience in those beneath him by exuding power and an understanding of what makes people tick,” the biography continues.
Roy admittedly doesn’t sound like that much of a family man.
As for Trump himself, he’s been enough of a “family guy” that he’s raised children who’ve all become productive, successful adults.
President Joe Biden, on the other hand, raised a son who smokes crack, sleeps with hookers, and once slept with his deceased brother’s widow …
