As much as the Democrats love to bash President Donald Trump as a “convicted felon” who faced impeachment twice, Stephen A Smith brought the whole left back to reality.
Speaking to liberal HBO host Bill Maher, Smith explained why Trump is currently getting things done in the White House while Democrats are sitting in their living rooms whining about him on social media.
Watch:
Stephen A Smith stuns the Bill Maher crowd into silence as he articulates how Democrats have no one left fighting for the American people:

“Here’s the deal. The man was impeached twice, he was convicted on 34 felony counts. And the American people still said ‘He’s closer to normal than what we’re seeing on the left.’ That’s what they’re saying, ‘he’s closer to normal.’ Why?” Smith asked as Maher agreed. “Something that pertains, when you’re talking about the transgender community for example, you’re talking about issues that pertain to less than one percent of the population. The Democrat Party came across as if that was a priority more so than the other issues. And now [Trump] comes into office and you’re talking about [birthright citizenship] and whathaveyou. He knows that’s not gonna pass the mustard, but he knows that he made that promise. So when he shows up week one on Capitol Hill, he says this is what we’re going to do through executive order, even though it’s going to be shot down through the courts.”
“He’s saying ‘I kept my promise.’ A lot of other things that he’s going to point to that he’s going to try to do, ‘I kept my promise.’ Then you turn around and look at the left and you say ‘What promises did you keep?'” he continued.
“What voter can look at the Democrat Party at this moment in time and say ‘There’s a voice for us, somebody who speaks for us, that goes up on Capitol Hill and fights the fights that we want them fighting on our behalf. They didn’t do that. That’s why their behinds are home, and that man is back in the White House,” Smith added, mocking the breathless media coverage of Trump’s first week in office. “He’s doing what he said he was going to do.”
“He promised you he was going to do these things, and he walked into office week one and that’s exactly what he’s doing and he’s saying ‘Y’all do something about it.’ And when you try to do something about it, he’s going to say ‘Look at them now, now they’re concerned about these issues. Were they talking about that during the campaign? Hell no,'” Smith predicted.
X users had a lot to say about Smith’s take:
Democrats are already trying to get an impeachment together again.
I hope they keep this crap up for another 4 years.
Their entire base will be down to people with 70 or lower IQs.

Stephen A Smith telling it like it is, Democrats out of touch with America
The establishment is corrupt and Americans know it, that’s why they still support Trump despite the biased media and deep state attacks

He’s right you know!
Problem with politicians is they make promises during the campaign and turn their backs once they are in office. Trump’s modis operandi is to deliver results. That’s what he needs to do to stay in business and thus applies it to the office of President.— GRHDHP (@grhdhp) January 25, 2025
Close but no cigar. Voters did not overlook all the charges against Trump and still think he was closer to normal. Voters saw through the mock trials and charges as a lying liberal hit job and proved it with evidence. We were focused on the disastrous policies on the left that…

But Steven is wrong. The supreme court will uphold Donald Trump’s executive order because the framers did not intend that illegal aliens could become citizens by breaking the law.
