Tapper gets his panties in a big bitter bunch over Trump presser

CNN’s Jake Tapper insinuated that there is something wrong with President Donald J. Trump after a wide-ranging Tuesday press conference where he addressed numerous topics with his typical shoot-from-the-hip style, joking and touting his accomplishments after closing out the first year of his second term.

Unlike his predecessor Joe Biden, who rarely held extended sessions with the media, the 79-year old commander in chief has incredible stamina for a man his age, and his appearance as a “surprise guest” at the daily press briefing was a marathon that lasted for nearly two hours, leaving the activist anchor with his panties in a bunch.

Tapper led off Tuesday’s edition of “The Lead” with a typically biased critique of Trump’s performance, which he said was filled with “plenty of frankly bizarre, rambling moments.”

“President Trump today, marking one full year in office with a marathon, rambling, at times incoherent, possibly unsettling White House news briefing, clocking in at about 15 minutes shy of two hours,” the Democrat mouthpiece began. “For any supporters of his looking for reassurance that the Trump doing wild 1 a.m. social media posts is not the same Trump in the White House, well, they probably were not reassured.”

“The first hour and change was an entire monologue. The president began by complaining about his public relations, a common complaint of politicians who have horrific poll numbers,” Tapper said. “Then he started showing off mug shots of people he said were undocumented migrants who had been apprehended as part of his ramped up ice efforts. This all comes amid some reports that the president has privately expressed discomfort over the optics of how some of these ICE raids have been carried out. The President then talked about crime in Minnesota,” he added before rolling the first out-of-context clip.

In the video snippet, Trump slammed crooked Minnesota politicians who are dug in against immigration enforcement and remarked that he felt that he won the deep blue state in the last three presidential elections.

“He feels,” Tapper fumed with grated teeth, hardly the behavior of an unbiased newsman. “He feels he won it all three times.”

Tapper’s bitter rant was just another daily reminder that CNN is no longer a credible news organization.

For nearly four years, Tapper covered for Biden, then shamelessly wrote a book cashing in on the “cover-up” of the former president’s senility that he himself participated in until the Democrats realized that he was incapable of winning the 2024 election and threw him overboard. So he is hardly the objective “journalist” that he portrays himself as.
