Texas border fight brings up serious questions of Civil War

With tension building between the Biden administration and the Lone Star state over the border “invasion,” Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) was pressed on the potential for “civil war.”

The smoke and mirrors bid to continue allowing foreign nationals into the United States illegally while pushing blame on the Republicans has been confounded by Texas reasserting, and holding to, the rights of state sovereignty. After President Joe Biden’s deadline calling for the border state to back down from their razor wire initiative came and went, Patrick was asked how far the executives from Austin were willing to take the issue.

“What is this going to turn into, a civil war?” wondered “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo in the middle of an interview on Fox News. “I mean, you’ve got the Texas rights versus federal rights, both sides with guns.”

“And we believe, constitutionally, we are right,” asserted the lieutenant governor. “We have a right to defend our citizens. We have a right to defend this country. And we’re just doing the job. This whole idea of Shelby Park, that they would come there, is just ludicrous. These young men and women who serve our National Guard and our DPS, these are the best of the best.”

“Why would [Biden] want to send anyone down to confront them? I’m glad they stepped down, but they need to do the job. And the only reason he’s paying attention now is because the election in November,” slammed Patrick.

The Texas official was speaking to the lack of follow-through from the administration after the Friday deadline to allow Department of Homeland Security access to Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas passed without incident and, instead, was met by demands from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

“By February 15, DHS must supply the official plat maps and deeds demonstrating the precise parcels to which they claim ownership, an explanation of how Texas is preventing access to those specific parcels, documentation showing that Eagle Pass or Texas ever granted permission for DHS to erect infrastructure that interferes with border security, and proof of Congress empowering DHS to turn a Texas park into an unofficial and illegal port of entry. If the federal government is going to make such claims, it must provide proof,” stated the AG.

During his discussion with Bartiromo, Patrick had spoken to the globalist ends of the administration allegedly vying to make millions of illegal aliens into a new reliable voting bloc. He also addressed the reality that came with the porous border that had seen over 13,000 smugglers arrested, of which the majority were reportedly American citizens working with the cartels.

“That’s why, Maria, when I say it’s an invasion, it is an invasion. It’s a cartel army,” said the lieutenant governor. “You know, the Founders never dreamed we’d have a president like this one who would just open the door to everyone. And they said, well, invasion if an army came. Well, we’re facing an army. We’re facing an army, and they’re well-armed, they’re well coordinated, they’re making millions of millions of dollars off of Joe Biden.”

About the same time that Tennessee Rep. Mark Green (R) had unveiled the articles of impeachment that would be brought against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for his “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law” regarding the border, Patrick went on to state, “Don’t mess with Texas, we’re serious about securing our border. And I’m glad the president stood down on Friday and did not confront us. That would be the wrong thing to do. We don’t want a confrontation and they shouldn’t want a confrontation. We’re just doing our job. Let us do our job.”
