‘They are coming for our kids’: Wisconsin 4th and 5th graders being taught gender ‘is how you feel’

A troubling “gender identity” video that is reportedly being shown to fourth- and fifth-graders in Wisconsin’s Superior School District is making its rounds on social media, proof for many that the “woke” mob is “coming for our kids.”

In the animated video, two kids discuss the difference between “sex” and “gender.”

As one cartoon doctor tells cartoon parents that they have had twins — the one with a penis is a boy, and the one with the vulva is a girl — one of the kids exclaims “Woah! Let’s hit the brakes, people!”

“The way your body looks on the outside is only part of the story,” the little girl informs the medical professional.

While your sex refers “to your body parts,” the child says, “Gender is how you feel inside your body and who you know yourself to be.”

“Notice how the child corrects the adults, including the doctor, and schools them on gender fluidity,” political scientist and “Mama Bear” leader Scarlett Johnson wrote on X. “Gross.”

According to Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR), the Superior School Board voted 5 to 2 in a 2022 special meeting “to uphold a decision rejecting a complaint from about 30 parents challenging a lesson plan that teaches gender identity to fifth grade students.”

“The parents filed an appeal to that decision on Aug. 3,” WPR explained. “They argued the lesson plan within the district’s human growth and development curriculum isn’t age appropriate and fails to meet the district’s own standards for teaching controversial issues.”

The notion of “gender identity” hasn’t been scientifically proven, the parents argued, and the slides and videos in the curriculum amount to “persuasion and indoctrination.”

“Sadly, this chosen curriculum is one-sided, it’s favoritist, and it does not present a balanced view on the subject matter,” college professor Brett Jones, who spoke on behalf of the parents, said. “Where there is no intellectual balance, the result can be nothing other than persuasion and indoctrination.”

District Administrator Amy Starzecki said that those who are against gender identity lessons are marginalizing LGTBQIA students and are contributing to a toxic environment in school.

“This lesson is important in our work to ensure an inclusive setting that is free from harassment and bullying,” she said, according to WPR. “As a superintendent, my decision regarding this matter was to adopt and follow the committee’s recommendation made by educational experts.”

In contrast, the popular “End Wokeness” account on X said, “They are coming for our kids.”

Many agreed.

“We need to stop these demons,” said podcaster Kyle Becker. “Teaching kids to reject their bodies is evil. Sowing gender confusion is evil. Making kids feel like God made a mistake when they were born is evil. It’s time to stop humoring these sickos.”

“So feelings override the science?” asked one user. “If genitals don’t define gender, why does removing them?”

“What happened to teaching reading, writing and arithmetic?” the user wanted to know. “They have staffed government schools with child predators. Home school your kids!”

“This is evil grooming and it has no place in school,” stated one angry user. “Parents in Superior hopefully are standing up for truth and their children.”
