Title 42 end expected to bring massive border chaos; Biden may pull medical resources from US veterans: report

In what is expected to be a major shift in U.S. border policy, the Biden administration is reportedly planning to end Title 42, a pandemic-era emergency rule permitting immigration authorities to quickly expel migrants without allowing them to apply for asylum.

The change is expected in late May and could result in a rapid surge in migrant arrivals, taxing the already overwhelmed Border Patrol. Fox News correspondent Hillary Vaughn reported that the administration is “bracing for as many as 500,000 migrants in the six weeks.” This would amount to nearly 12,000 illegal crossings per day.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has said repeatedly that Democrats are using the wide-open border to alter voter demographics in America, and this would certainly explain the numbers we are now seeing.

The shocking news of a possible surge comes after Fox News reported earlier this week that nearly a million illegal immigrants have crossed into the U.S. in the past six months and that the YTD total is likely to exceed all records since the Border Patrol began keeping records.

In a series of tweets, Vaughn reported that Border Patrol officials say they lack the capacity to process a half-million illegal immigrants in one month and the end result will be a “revolving door,” which is not to suggest that a revolving door is not already in place.

There were nearly 2 million illegal immigrants encountered in 2021, and this does not include thousands more that managed to enter the country undetected. Very few detained migrants were returned.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin reported that CBP sources told him the “gotaways” exceeded 300,000 since Oct. 1, and the true number is even higher. The numbers boggle the mind and there’s no effort in sight to slow the tide.

The media largely ignores the humanitarian crisis on the southern border that comes with millions of migrants flooding the U.S. since President Biden was elected, opting not to report on the deaths and other human tragedies that accompany the massive flow of humanity.

Even more troubling, with a further surge anticipated, Vaughn reported that the administration is floating the idea of pulling medical personnel from Veterans Affairs to assist on the border.

“We’re going to take medical services away from people that really deserve that. Who went to combat…to give free medical attention to illegal migrants” a CBP source told the reporter.

Vaughn’s sources say the administration is looking at doing NTA’s (notices to appear) with “minimal biometric data and vetting” to expedite processing, and deploying a smart app for migrants to use to submit to pre-screening, all of this being seen as an “easy way for folks to get in.”

With 1.734 million illegal immigrant encounters in 2021, a Border Patrol source told Fox News to expect the number to “double” this year — which would be closing in on 4 million in 2022.
