‘Total scam’: Two church groups took in $62 million to help settle Somalis in Minnesota

Two church non-profit groups have been outed for accepting millions to build a massive Somali community in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Catholic Charities and Lutheran Social Services have received $62 million since 1993 to provide housing, food, and other support for roughly 29,000 Somalis, the New York Post reported.

The population has boomed to over 100,000 with chain migration, and led to the rise of embattled Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, who arrived in 1995.

“This is a very big pile of government money and a whole bunch of different groups have come to get their own slice of it,” Parker Thayer, an immigration expert at the Capital Research Center, told The Post.

Thayer added that the total amount pouring into Minneapolis through government resettlement contracts is in the “hundreds of millions.”

Fox News host Laura Ingraham weighed in on the report, stating, “Catholic Charities and Lutheran Social Services have been cashing in on the migrant/refugee travesty for 20 years. A total scam—NGOs and globalist pols have done incalculable damage to America.”

Ingraham was far from alone.
