An apparently indefatigable former President Donald Trump put his positive outlook on full display after another week of media attacks to the tune of “Macho Man” and fired a shot across the bow at a potential opponent in need of a “personality transplant.”
In a week filled with ups and downs for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination frontrunner, Trump looked to be embracing the positive during an event at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida Thursday. Having filed his appeal of the court ruling in favor of E. Jean Carroll and after unquestionably coming out on top the night before during a CNN town hall, the president displayed his trademark dance moves to a live performance of The Village People’s 1978 hit.
“You have to love Trump’s dance moves!” a supporter captioned a viral video of the candidate swinging his arms poolside while entertainers went through their costumed choreography.

Journalist Toria Brooke shared the video and noted Trump “was in high spirits today,” an attitude that seemed warranted as CNN did damage control having given the president the stage at a town hall in New Hampshire Wednesday that left host Kaitlan Collins and her team of producers unable to have anything resembling a gotcha moment.
In fact, CNN’s Anderson Cooper was left defending his network’s decision to host the event and had expressed to peeved viewers, “You have every right to be outraged and angry, never watch this network again. But do you think staying in your silo and only listening to people you agree with is going to make that person go away? If we all only listen to those we agree with, it may actually do the opposite.”
He had also explained, “The man you were so disturbed to see and hear from last night? That man is the frontrunner for the Republican nomination for president. And according to polling, no other Republican is even close.”

To Cooper’s point, Trump issued another of his ongoing attacks against the as-yet-unannounced Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. This time, continuing the use of the “DeSanctimonious” moniker, the president did double-duty with a blow that also landed on 2024 hopeful, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
“The problem with Ron DeSanctimonious is that he needs a personality transplant and those are not yet available. Almost all congressmen and women that served with him and knew him well supported me, some of them surprisingly so, because of their relationship with Ron,” Trump said in a video posted Friday. “I would say that when it comes to lack of personality, Ron would be in a class with Asa Hutchinson, and that’s not good. Ron’s foreign trip was a total bomb. They didn’t even know what he was doing there. ‘What are you doing here, Ron? Why are you here?’ It was a mess. Thank you.”
Supporters embraced the president’s joviality in the dancing video and heaped on the praise for Trump with one noting, “what a down to earth guy, he truly loves his life and America.”
