President Donald Trump suggested on Wednesday that former President Joe Biden deserves to be investigated just like he was.
Appearing on Fox News’ “Hannity,” the president started by reiterating all that he’s been through in the past number of years.
“I went through four years of hell by this scum that we had to deal with,” he said. “I went through four years of hell. I spent millions of dollars of legal fees and I won. But I did it the hard way. It’s really hard to say they shouldn’t have to go through it also.”
By “they,” he of course meant Biden and other Democrats.

Trump continued by slamming his predecessor for pardoning his family members and allies — but then turned around and laughed over the fact that the former president didn’t pardon himself.
“The funny thing, maybe the sad thing, is he didn’t give himself a pardon,” the president quipped.
This means that Republicans may still go after Biden personally (forget his friends and family) if they so desire.
Later when host Sean Hannity asked Trump if he intended to have his attorney general, Pam Bondi, investigate Biden’s last-minute pardons, the president suggested that the pardon recipients could all be dragged into Congress to testify.
“Those people that he pardoned are now mandated, because they got a pardon, to testify, and they can’t take the 5th,” he said.
During the Fox News interview, Trump also defended his decision to pardon all the Jan. 6th defendants.
“Most of the people were absolutely innocent, OK,” he said. “But forgetting all about that, these people have served, horribly, a long time. It would be very, very cumbersome to go and look – you know how many people we’re talking about? 1,500 people.”

Speaking of pardons, Trump was also quick to note how, unlike Biden, he never pardoned his friends and family members.
“I never wanted to do it,” he began. “I was given the option. They said, ‘Sir, would you like to pardon everyone, including yourself?’ I said, ‘I’m not going to pardon anybody. We didn’t do anything wrong.’ And we had people that suffered, they’re incredible patriots, we had people that suffered.”
“You had Bannon put in jail. You had Peter Navarro put in jail. You had people that suffered and far worse than that, they have lost their fortunes, they’ve lost their whatever, their nest egg, paying it to lawyers. And most of those people, they would not have even taken a pardon,” he added.
Later during the interview, Trump addressed TikTok by questioning the thesis from the neocons and hawks that China is desperate to keep using it to obtain the American people’s data.
“Is it that important for China to be spying on young people — on young kids watching crazy videos!?” he asked rhetorically. “But you can say that about everything made in China – look, we have our telephones made in China for the most part, we have so many things made in China, so why don’t they mention that?”
As previously reported, earlier this week Trump signed an executive order delaying the enforcement of the TikTok ban signed into law by former President Biden.

Turning to the wildfires in Los Angeles, Trump said the feds shouldn’t “give California anything” unless Gov. Gavin Newsom, a rabid Democrat, changes the state’s ridiculous water policy.
“I’m going to put a statement out today, I don’t think we should give California anything until they let water flow down,” Trump told Hannity.
The president also floated the idea of abolishing the embattled Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in favor of a system where state governments respond to natural disasters.
“I’d rather see the states take care of their own problems,” he said. “I love Oklahoma. But you know what, if they get hit with a tornado or something, let Oklahoma fix it. And then the federal government can help them out with the money. FEMA is getting in the way of everything, and the Democrats actually used FEMA not to help North Carolina.”
He added that FEMA should “be a whole big discussion very shortly” and that he’d prefer ending its federal mission.
The interview between Hannity and Trump ended awkwardly as the host tried to turn the discussion toward the economy, but Trump demanded to keep speaking.
Watch:
HANNITY: “Let me get to the economy.”
TRUMP: “I don’t care. This is more important…”
Honestly, stop giving Hannity interviews, Mr. President. He is undeserving of them! pic.twitter.com/oBaxDsrbKo
