One of former President Trump’s attorneys was very candid about his iconic mugshot following his arrest Thursday, calling it “one of the best things that ever happened to him.”

Alina Habba made the comment during a Newsmax interview on “The Balance.” She also works as a senior adviser to the super PAC MAGA Inc.
Since the mugshot was released it has gone massively viral, engendering even more support for the former president because of perceived political persecution.
The attorney made a series of appearances on the network asserting that the mugshot only makes Trump even more likely to get reelected in 2024.
“People aren’t stupid. The mugshot was one of the best things that ever happened to him, probably,” Habba stated on Friday.

Hobba also stated on Newsmax that she is certain that the latest indictment only helps Trump’s presidential campaign.
“I have spoken to President Trump, yes, he is doing fantastically and happy to put yesterday behind him, but quite honestly looking at his numbers, I mean just his one post on Twitter, what happened on Tucker (Carlson), it’s been a tremendous week for him,” she asserted.
“It shows his strength and resilience and you really can’t ignore it at this point. The more they hit him, he just comes back up stronger,” Habba remarked concerning Trump who is a notorious fighter.
She also commented that District Attorney Fani Willis didn’t need to do the mugshot. But it was taken and then backfired on the Left big time.
“Them saying something like we need a mugshot. What’s the purpose of a mug shot? The mug shot is so that you know what somebody looks like in case they’re a flight risk. The man is supervised by Secret Service … Where is he going and who isn’t recognizing him?” — @AlinaHabba pic.twitter.com/M9QweqoKbb

“Why did this jurisdiction need a mugshot?” host Eric Bolling asked Habba.
“They didn’t need the mugshot. It was, I guess to her, probably a trophy, but thank you, because now the trophy actually became ours,” Habba stated. “She wanted to get it done. We obviously had told her that no other jurisdiction required it, he is the single most famous man on the planet.”
Habba labeled the mugshot a “power play” and characterized Trump’s efforts to overturn the election as “protecting the Constitution.”
Trump is capitalizing on the arrest and booking and posted his own mugshot to X. It was the first post that he has made on the social media network since he was banned after Jan. 6, 2021. It rocked the platform and a massive cultural shift started to take place, expanding Trump’s popularity even more.
The former president wrote in his X post “election interference” and “never surrender!” He also included a link where people could donate to support his campaign and his legal defense fund. The post has received a whopping 1.5 million likes and has been viewed well over 228 million times.

“At the notoriously violent jail in Fulton County, Georgia, I was ARRESTED despite having committed NO CRIME,” a statement on Trump’s campaign donation page reads.
“The American people know what’s going on. What has taken place is a travesty of justice and ELECTION INTERFERENCE. The Left wants to intimidate YOU out of voting for a political outsider who puts the American people FIRST. But I walked into the lion’s den with one simple message on behalf of our entire movement: I WILL NEVER SURRENDER OUR MISSION TO SAVE AMERICA,” Trump proclaimed.
Last week was quite a week for Trump. On Wednesday, he aired an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that was viewed far more than Fox News was for the first GOP primary debate that Trump refused to attend in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The interview surpassed 235 million views in the first day alone.
President Trump’s interview with Tucker Carlson surpasses 235 million views in just 1 day.
The video has become the most watched in history within a 24 hour period.

Then on Thursday, he turned himself in at the Fulton County jailhouse where he was arrested, booked, and had his iconic mugshot taken. Since then, social media has been on fire over the viral incident.
